You can only suppress reality for so long.

This whole culture of telling women "you go girl" when it comes to all their mistakes in life, can't be a good thing for them in the long run.

It kind of reminds me of when doctors were curing morphine addiction with heroin, the idea being that most mistakes in life come from shitty mindsets as much as anything else, and shitty ideas are the fuel for a shitty mindset.

Take fat acceptance for example.

Let's just imagine that fat acceptance scores a perfect, flawless victory, and manages to make it illegal to mock fat people.

That still doesn't mean people won't suffer consequences for being fat. You'll still suffer from low interest from the opposite sex, because aversion to serious obesity (like 300 pound plus stuff) is not cultural but genetic. Only difference is, you'll never learn what the problem is and figure out a way to fix it. You'll just find men giving you all these excuses that don't seem to make sense, because they're not allowed to call you fat.

In almost no case is there a benefit for feeding anyone self-serving bullshit. It just enables bad habits to continue.

You moderate your feedback, of course (beginners at something need more positive feedback so they aren't discouraged; as you get better you start craving negative feedback as you try to stamp out what you're doing wrong), but that implies someone actively wanting to learn/do something. In my experience most people, and I don't mean to be too cynical, are basically cattle who want massive credit just for showing up.

No, not in a long term sense.

It is the fact it works so well in the short term that it has endured. Most agendas are pushed because they make everyone more money.
Female empowerment is good for the economy in the short term because at a base level all women want to be the centre of attention and they do that by buying status, driving both the price and the demand up.
