Seemed like it was shaping up to be a fun night when I rolled in at around 9:30. Unfortunately I didn't have much time and underestimated how fucking difficult it would be to find parking. I just parked illegally as hell in front of the bar and told my girl to stay with car while I ran in for a little bit.

I saw Roosh immediately and luckily was able to have a nice 1 on 1 convo with him for 5 minutes. I really wish I had the time to meet some of the other forum members but I had to bounce. Didn't really matter though; as soon as I got in the car, what turned out to be a cold/flu hit me like a freight train and ended my night prematurely anyway.

Although I didn't really talk to anyone besides Roosh, I was really happy to see such a diverse group of dudes show up. My lesson in isolation


Isolation: Getting a girl alone with you so that she’s not worried about what her friends will think of her.

I came to Roosh’s Washington, DC Meetup that happened this past weekend.

Saturday was spent walking around the city, eating out every meal and taking pictures of what ever I deemed interesting before hitting the bar. Of course I did the tourist thing going to The Spy Museum, White House, etc.

Its true what the pick up community says about the women in DC, They’re bland. They’re fat. No Style and all the same.

The Meetup started at 8pm. After eating over priced, mediocre sushi and a warmer than expected lobster for dinner at Fujimar, I start walking back to my hotel room at The Windsor Inn. Maybe its just me but I have Never experienced food that was full of flavor in all the times I have visited the United States no matter how well rated the restaurant was.

In my room, it’s the usual routine; fixing up my hair, put on some fresh socks and heading out the door.

It was a good 10-minute walk down U Street to get to The Brixton. I walk in and make my way up to the rooftop. The first thing I notice when I get there is that it’s a sausage fest. This is no surprise as I assume that its men who predominantly read Roosh’s blog.

When I first meet Roosh, he’s taller and more in shape then I thought he would be. Virgil Kent was suited up and as expected just a chill, cool black dude.

For the next hour, I drink beer and talk to the guys. The various backgrounds everyone comes from made it exciting. Talking about Florida, DC, Montreal, Poland, Brazil to the Ukraine made it seem phantasmagorical.

Around 1030PM, I make my way down to the second floor to take a leak. On my way to the washroom, I take note of a group of 5 girls standing at the end of the bar. I finish pissing and approach the group I heeded earlier. It goes without saying I washed my hands if you’re wondering.

Coming face to face with all 5 girls now, I realize they’re all old and fat looking. Well, they’re actually around 25 but have prematurely aged. This surprised me because in my peripherals, they didn’t look that bad.

Inside, I see the girls in another line to go downstairs to dance. They’re ok looking so I open them. They tell me they’re from Michigan and that they went to grad school together. I’m walking down the stairs behind the tall blond girl. At this point in the night, I don’t know anyone but these girls so I come onto the dance floor with them.

The night ends with burgers and greasy sides with a few new friends and Roosh. Everyone who works at The Black and Orange [I think thats what it was called] restaurant is Mexican. I realize after washing my hands that I have a hicky on my neck. It’s the scar that will remind me of this lesson.

The DC trip that almost wasn't: Friday: My trip started out with almost missing my plane from ATL. My flight departed at 9am and I'm just beginning to pack around 6am. I'd stayed up all night and after throwing a few things in my suitcase, I decided to take a power nap. "Just 30 minutes" I told myself..."it'll give you a much needed energy boost to deal airport security". I set three alarms on my phone and closed my eyes. I was OUT. I managed to mute all three alarms and continue my slumber. I was awoken by a random early morning text just enough to realize "shit I have a plane to catch". I was the last to board.

Touched down in DC and arrived at my friends place. He left a key with my at the desk and I looked forward to getting some sleep. I snoozed until he got off work and we decided to have some of his buddies over for poker before venturing out. After some shit hands and a $40 re-buy, I started catching cards. There was a clear chip-leader seated to my right, but he had stopped playing his hands and was just riding it out conservatively. I knew I had to go for the small stacks to make any money. I started going all in where I'd normally have just made a strong bet, they were taking the bait. After eliminating 4 of them, the big stack decided to cash out and the others decided they were done with re-buys and getting their money taken. I ended up making $500 profit. DC trip was now fully funded.

It was around 1am when we finished the game and my friend and I decided to get out for a while before bars closed. I was in the mood for a club and after a quick google on my phone we decided Ultrabar would be the first stop due to logistical reasons. Once inside I noticed that there was not a lot of talent, some, but not much. After a few minutes, I'm standing by the bar and I see a guy and his girl walking towards me towards the exit to leave. The girl makes eye contact with me before they pass. Her guy walks by and as she walks by me she reaches down and grabs my dick, lets go, and keeps walking. The next day, after sleeping in and eating some greasy McD's, I rush to the airport. I have to ask to break in the front of the security line not to miss my flight.

Good blog post. Interesting to see an outsider’s take on DC.

It was great to meet fellow RooshVers and put faces to some of the names on the forum. Hope to see more location independent guys and ballers like GManifesto and Mixx. Good times.

Correct. I had spent $100 bucks to go to a concert that I wanted to see which was on the other side of DC. I ended up being too sick to even make it there.

Was a glorious night. I would also agree with mentu's report. Great to finally meet both forum posters and new people.
I didn't go to approach, but I did run a few noteworthy ones.

At Brixton I was chatting with a late-20sish woman who looked like she was having a terrible time and her (admittedly cute) friend goes "move creep" and tries to push past me. I didn't move so she moves around, and after seeing me from the front starts apologizing, rubbing on my chest. Really fun night! Totally exceeded my expectations. Roosh thanks again for putting it on. Yeah I had a pretty nice fashion accessory. This is my first post on the forum. Been a long time reader of Roosh and several other manosphere writers, and I'm really glad I got the opportunity to meet them in person at the meetup.

Off the top of my head, I remember meeting Roosh, Bronan, The Rookie, Samseau, possibly Gmac, and a guy in his 50s with a Zippo slim who I think was Apocalypse Cometh. I'm sure there were more though. You guys all seemed very cool. As I'm still fairly new to the game, I felt like I really got a lot out of the game-related discussions we had. I wish I would have been able to stick around until the switch to the second venue.

If we met I used my real name. Not sure about the consequences of Google associating that with my forum name, so... my real name is the opposite of the last name of the actor who played Batman in the '60s (hopefully that's obfuscated enough to confuse Google search).

Minutes of the meeting:

7:45---I roll into Brixton, and head straight to the rooftop. Couldn’t spot Roosh, so I decided to check second floor and see the talent there.

8:00--- Came back to the roof top. Still no signs of Roosh, so I thought I would try the secret handshake and see if anyone else had arrived.

8:05--- After weirding out a couple of people with my pet shop line in a nightclub, and creeping out a chick with my answer to her question; “what pet are u looking for?” (btw: My Answer “A beaver”, said with a glance to her crotch), I decided to call it quits ,get a few drinks and wait till Roosh’s show up.

8:15--- A gentleman (keep forgetting his name) walks up to me and asks me “are you here to meet Roosh.?”. So much for stealth, there were five others guys I recognized from later on in the night that were already present and only I could be recognized as predator on the prowl.

8:20 or so--- Standing at Bar, I spot Roosh and Virgil make a grand entrance. I introduce myself and he quickly recognized me and starts a conversation on Poland and Eastern Europe.

During my early days of game, I have met many gurus face-face, and almost all of them turned out to be a different person from what they seem on the internet (and I mean this in a bad way), but Roosh was one of the two people I know were genuinely the same person (Eltopo is the other). After 10 min chatting with him, I was happy with my decision of post-phoning my trip back to my home country and flying in from Boston to see him. He was same generous and open minded person, I thought he would be.

8:30: Mingled with a few guys, who were super cool, (again forgot their names, you can see the trend here), shared stories about my certain stories in Germany and other stuff regarding my travels.

9:00 Went to bar, got a drink, hit on the really tall blond standing there, got shot down, came back to the boys and started convo again with boys.

9:15 Hit on a fatty, then another fatty, got the conversation going but then decided I am not drunk to ruin my reputation, well at least not yet, so I let her go.

9:30 GMAC introduces himself, super cool guy and the certain words that came out of his mouth made the difference to my night.

Me: “ I only enjoy online gaming or day game here in the states, night game I haven’t been successful at all.”

GMAC: “ You are a guy who dresses well, and communicates well. I don’t see a reason why you wont do well , if you believe that it is possible”

I performed a secret chest thump, gorilla style but stayed clam in front of GMAC, because I didn’t want to weird him out also, had done enough of it that night to other people. Continued to talk about the forum, his idea of online game and bunch of other stuff.

Me: “What’s the line of the night?”

Me: “ Alright then, line tonight should be –“ My friend here is a child molester, would you fuck him? ”

9:45 or sometime: Went to take a piss in the second floor met Roosh, spoke to him. Came back to the top again, spoke more about the Bulkans.

10:00: Went to the Bar to get a drink, met Virgil trying to buy shots. Offered to buy him the shots and he said he was with a chick, helped him carry the shots to the chick. She had a friend, so I started to talk to her friend.

10:05 : After the usual start of Introduction and an observational cold read into conversation, things started going well.

Her: "I am not from DC, I am from the North East, and we are more friendlier there."

Me: "Are U kidding me? If I go on a date with a DC chick, I would probably take a whip with me. If I go with a chick form the North East, it’s definitely the Tazer."

She started playing 5 questions with me asking me about my sexual position preferences; my masturbation preferences and bunch of stuff I don’t remember which were boring and unimportant A.K.A non sexual stuff.

She bought me a drink and went back to a place where we were sitting and started chatting again.

The night had just begun for me, after which, I got into a cab with a chick I met on the street outside of Brixton, we shard a cab ride to her place (failed to get into her apartment). Then went to cities lounge, where my friends were, got three make outs( one from a married chick in front of her friends), two numbers and then bounced a chic and her friend to another place.

When it came to the time of heading back to her place, she refused as she wanted to make sure her drunk friend got home safe. Then another twist, my buddies and I planned to get a bite in McDonalds and when we were eating there, she called me and asked me if I want to come over to her place as she had just reached home. Aggressive responses from women like this, has never happened to me in any big city in the U.S.A outside of Atlanta. I am ever more surprised, considering the night started out like a typical one I read on the forum, but as it progressed things turned out to be different. Is there more to DC than I know? This is still puzzling me, DC locals please fill me up.

All in all, it was a great night, full of pleasant surprises. Compared to the average lair meeting where u wouldn’t get along with at least 50%-75% of the guys , the guys on this forum were simply humble, normal and social. If there is one in Europe, you can be damn sure, I will try my best to make it there.
