Then again, since I wasn't at PB, that might be why since it seems the bulk of the under 25 set party up there.

Id say for the West Coast. Portland has the worst looking women on average , and its not even close. A large number are heavily tatted up and don't give two craps about thier appearance. Like Speakeasy mentioned on SF women looking like Lindy West types. Portland Is full of those type of Women. With much less diversity. That's why there's bso many strip clubs in the city, lol.

Sacramento is a city that people's are sleeping on. Loads of quality females of different races who are open to date Black men. Its one of the most interracially accepting city Ive been to. Every one is just cool with each other in Sac.

Yeah. In Beaverton. And visit Portland on the weekends. Most women around the city arent as fit.

As a race Ethiopians don't even consider themselves Black and 99.99% of the time check their 'race' to be White. Well that is quite a claim. We all know that beef and jockeying goes on between African Americans and Black Americans all the time. Nigerians sometimes get into it with other blacks where I live all the time. Some Africans hate being called black as well, but that is usually due to factors like them wanting to be attributed to their home country (eg. I am Nigerian, Ghanian, South African, etc.) and not understanding America's stupid system of Ethnicity/Race metric collection.

Some Ethiopians are actually Jewish and or mixed with all kinds of other things, like Italians and whatnot. I am not an expert on them and I have been waiting to see if more black men would go over there and date them so that we can get a solid assessment. I know white guys from other forums that have went there. Sp5 is over there right now I think, but he is Jewish though. One white guy I knew told me black guys from other countries pulled very well over there. It would be interesting if more black RVF guys checked the place out.

Agree with TravelerKai.

I dont think its as simple as Ethiopians hate black americans.
I'm not that familiar with D.C. but if most Ethiopians live near any of the hood African Americans I can understand why they want to distance themselves from that element.

Ethiopia is on my bucket list, I dated an american female that went there but I have no idea how it is for brothas. My experience is limited to West coast ethiopians in LA, Vegas and San Diego. I've taken down an Ethiopian chick and so has my brother so its do able. No special tricks necessary but I was suited up when I met mine.

My brother is a medical student in a DC area school and know first hand the disdain Ethiopian women have not just for African American men but all other blacks as well including other ones from Africa (Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica)

Ethiopian women were colorist in my opinion, they don't mind brown skin as long as you have thin nose, curly /straight hair, they'll consider it. As I've seen Dominicans and other Latin men the only ones to consistently get an Ethiopian chick not being Ethiopian themselves.

As you should take each story on a case by case basis. The general consensus I have received from friends who dated Habeshas (Ethiopians) is that most of them 99% do consider themselves more closer to white. F.O.B Ethiopians tend to be more white/ethio worshippers. 2nd/3rd generations actually tend to be more interested in dating AA men as much as other races. BUT they just WON'T bring you home to meet the parents. That's taboo haha. Game them as usual, every experience is different.

Bumping an old thread, but an interesting thought came to me today while watching a wedding video of a college classmate getting married.

Has anyone noticed that the 7-10 black women are ONLY marrying/dating the cream of the crop black guys? I mean, the former college athletes, current athletes, lawyers, doctors, hip hop artist, flashy dope boys, etc. I mean, I can't think of one average black guy getting married to a hot sista. And when I say average I mean like tech, sales guy, it, accountant, police officer, fireman, etc. Not at all bad careers, but the young professional sistas want more and want to date up. If they can't find that can't find that flashy man, they just stay single and complain that there aren't any good black guys out there, which we all know is Bs.

Now, flip the coin and I know PLENTY of average white guys dating some hot ass white women. Anyone have an explanation on why this is? It's pretty baffling to me. Even from my experience, I'm a 27 yr old college educated black male, and I can not get a good looking black chick for nothing. They don't like me, never have and I don't know why. But I'm gold with white, African, Indian and Hispanic women. Once I get 1 date with them, they want more. I almost don't even want to approach or message a hot aa women because I know it will got nowhere.

^^^ In fairness, an average looking man of any race is going to struggle getting a hot woman(8+) without some sort of baller status. I think this is particularly acute for black men, but it's by no means limited to us.

I'm not sure the story I'm about to post belongs on this thread, but it definitely belongs on the forum. The last night I ever spent in Santo Domingo was in December 2009. I had never been to a high-end restaurant there, so I asked a taxi driver who I trusted to take me to the best place in town. When I got there, the place was pretty nice on the inside, but was completely empty. I sat down and ordered a steak with potatos and some other vegtables. It was decent, but not great. I could get equal or better food in the United States for cheaper. Shortly before I left, a group of ten people walked in and sat down. They were five Dominican women, three Dominican guys, and two white American guys. I'm not extremely impressed by Dominican women, but these women were probably the top five Dominicans I had ever seen. The Dominican guys were in no way typical Dominican guys and the American guys were in no way typical Americans. It took me a few seconds to realize that these guys were all major league baseball players down there on the off season. The Dominican guys had probably the highest possible status in their country and a social circle probably created by that status. The American guys had social proof created by the Dominican guys and obvious status due to being profesdional athletes. Put those same Dominican guys in San Pedro or whatever their hometowns are without their professional athlete status and I really doubt they would getting women even close to that. Put those same American guys in the Dominican Republic without being professional athletes and without knowing those Dominican baseball players and they may get scraps or slightly better.

I live in DC and can explain some of Ethiopian attitudes. Ethiopian culture is very insulated and ideally mates are chosen by the family (as in "are single? Here, marry my cousin "). I also met a guy with a Ethiopian wife. He said go on YouTube to learn a bit of the culture and language and then hang out where they hang. Be seen, classy and patient. They'll get curious and give you some time. Just don't be the stereotypical "thug."

de basta could confirm this, but it has a lot to do with the fact that Ethiopians are different anthropologically speaking (they are a negroid and caucosoid intermediate, I'm talking about skeletal structure) and although there are other regional peoples very similar (Sudan, the south --- think Hirsi Ali) and Somalians, they are then different because they are Orthodox peoples, which further sections them off (historically it was always difficult once the islamic invaders came through)

Put these all together, and as immigrants to a land where the is a lot of opportunity ... very predictable to see what you see.

For a community with a commonality eg race, it unsustainable. Allow me to preface here and say I'm the neighborhood Malcolm X (hi everyone!). That said, I'm all for black love (which is redundant) and no, I'm not against ir dating (try being a Garveyite w/ mostly mixed couple friends) but one has to be blind to do denying av obvious disconnection between bm and bw. White men say it's American women but black men say specially black women. Dunno. It makes my head hurt.
