There is such a thing as balance. If you're getting taken out by security on such a regular basis that you can't be a regular anywhere good, and are occasionally assaulted by strangers, you've probably gone a little too far in one direction or another. These aren't moral judgements I'm making on you, just tactical ones. If being able to be a valued and connected regular at the best places in your area has value, then doing what you're doing has an "opportunity cost". If the cost is higher than the value, it might be time to rethink your strategy.

If that extra push is honestly getting you a spectacular bottomline, by all means, go for it. But if it's not, I would recalibrate.

Hiflo pulls out his gun and points it at them. They turn around, or if they are really THAT FUCKING DRUNK, they stop but start to surround him.

Hiflo, I gave my opinion on your situation on the first page of this thread. I think having good video evidence that you were being assaulted, and then acted in self-defense, is the best way to avoid being prosecuted for false charges.

^^^I've got out of many fights back home due to guys knowing I always carry. There is always something in my vehicle. Used to carry a Walther PPK-S in saddlebag or belt.

If 5 guys attack you and you get to your vehicle and defend with the "minimum force necessary", as you "feared for your life", that will be a solid defense, at least in the states I've lived.

FWIW, I have a law enforcement background, and have seen several cases of charges not being filed in these scenarios.

Or I could try and fight it but he has a table of bitches as witnesses that will say whatever he wants them to. Once I made it to the door and the bouncers held me up I actually tried to make a break for it but got dog piled. I couldn't get past them.

@MikeCF, This guy working on my case seems legit. I think I'll be ok but it's going to cost money...

Fights are always a losing bet, no matter what way it goes. I extremely rarely have men bugging me (more often women try to pick a fight amusingly enough) but when that happens I usually just walk away. I suspect many here will say that you've been AMOGed or whatever in that case but the fact remains that I've never had to sling a dime in medical or legal fees.

This story might not belong here, but I've been drinking and I feel like telling it. Sort of the antithesis to what's going on with most stories in here. This is how I wish MORE DUDE'S would react to things. Also exemplifies female attitude in the DC area.

I go to lots of sporting events. Mostly college basketball and NFL games... a good friend of mine is a huge Redskins fan (as am I) and he had never been to a game. So last week I got offered some tickets from a client and decided I'd bring him along for his first game. By 11am, we're both wasted. I drink heavily on a regular basis, so I was fine. He, on the other hand, was out of control. Toward the end of the game, Washington is losing and he's in fight mode... talking shit to anyone who will listen. I come back from the bar with a few Makers Mark's in my hand. As I go to sit down, he slaps my arm and a splash of whisky lands all over the head of the girl in the seat in front of me. She's decent looking, probably a 7... 25-30 years old. Her boyfriend is right beside her.

She's understandably pissed and I immediately try to defuse the situation (because it WAS a dickmove), I apologize for my friend and buy them both a beer, since the beer guy was standing right there. My friend is still talking shit, saying I shouldn't buy them shit... "fuck that bitch", blah blah blah. Her boyfriend isn't saying shit, intimidated I assumed. He wouldn't even turn around and make eye contact, focused on the game. I tell my friend to STFU before he and I have a problem, which mostly calms him down. I'm trying to watch the game and don't need this shit going down at the momet. I go down to their row (we're on the aisles), and tell her it wasn't intentional and I understand why she's pissed. Her response floored me...

"I'm not mad at either of you... I'm mad at my boyfriend for being a pussy and not defending me"

...she goes on and on about how he's a punk for not fight me and not saying shit to me. I can tell her boyfriend is pretty drunk too, but his reaction didn't even strike me as "being a punk". He just genuinely seemed to not give a shit what she was talking about. He looks at me, smiles, gives me dap and says "I ain't mad atcha, thanks for the beer, she'll be alright".

I laugh, talk some shit about the game, and that was that. Situation over. That's how it should happen.

I like her boyfriend's reaction up to a point. I know some guys would want to say that her boyfriend should have beaten up you and your friend or shot you and your friend (I'm fully aware that you can't bring guns into FedEx Field) or turned into Rambo and/or gone postal and shot everyone who was around. I would have left the situation alone up until the point where she started insulting me right there in front of me. At that point, I would have left her there and would have given her number to you and your friend.

I have heard from multiple sources that one of the best places to meet women in the Baltimore and D.C. area is at Orioles' games at Camden Yards. If women go there alone they are generally there to meet guys. I can't say I have heard the same thing about Nationals' games. If you go to a lot of sporting events, you should definitely look into that.

The spilling of the beer,fair enough,accidents happen. No need to get pissed over that,we've all done it. If you have been kicked out of bars multiple times and dragged out by bouncers chances are the common denominator is you. Maybe 5% of those guys are having bad luck and in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There is literally no point in trying to escalate at a bar. All it is is just macho ego BS. I don't get in fights and never have been close because I would rather walk away healthy and jail-free than engage in a pointless fight. At the end of the night, what do you get if you fight someone in a bar? Nothing. You don't get the girl, you don't get to stay at the bar, you don't get out off scot-free from the law.

I like the guy in the bars response. He probably realised it was an accident than you spilt drink on his girlfriend, that your friend was just stupidly drunk and was talking shit and you had apologised to him so there was no need for him to take it further. It does seem to be problematic in Texas. Especially among military guys. I've gotten in a few dust ups over the years with guys fresh back from Iraq and Afghanistan because some fat girl got pissed I was ignoring her or some princess got pissed off I wouldn't buy her a shot. A solid boxing background has kept me in one piece, but I try to take it easy on these guys. Beating them into a coma isn't going to change their ways and it's not their fault that they've been brainwashed by pussified western media.

One of the most important things used to evaluate a person's (including a state's witness) credibility is whether that person has any prior impeachable convictions. Impeachable offenses are theft, forgery, perjury (which are often misdemeanors) and many assorted felonies. If a person has been convicted of one or more impeachable offenses and a certain amount of time has not passed (often ten years, but it can vary), the opposing attorney can have a field day with that person if he decides to testify. Prosecutors are well aware of this and if a state's witness has one or more of these impeachable convictions, they very often decide not to proceed with the case. Other offenses such as disorderly conduct and assault do not directly affect credibility in some jurisdictions, but it is always good to point out convictions for those types of offenses to the state.

I can recall about two years ago I had a client charged with a sex offense (a misdemeanor sex offense, but nobody wants to go down for a charge like that, especially someone who is not a United States Citizen). The state had two civilian witnesses and no police officer witnesses. These two civilian witnesses had two of the most extensive criminal histories I have ever seen. Some of their convictions were impeachable, while others were not. I showed up to court with two two heavy stacks in my hands. The prosecutor took one look at me and said, "I'm one step ahead of you" and dropped the case with no further discussion.

Interestingly, I had a client not too long ago who was faced with charges in Las Vegas which I believe were similiar to the charges Fisto is facing. I obviously did not represent this guy in the Las Vegas matter. Some guy in a casino attacked this guy with a Freddy Kruger glove and this guy supposedly only acted in self defense. There was supposedly a video from the casino which was exculpatory, but nevertheless this guy was charged with assault as a result of this incident. I'm pretty sure that guy got off in that case. I am bringing this up because it may be at least fairly common for people to be charged in cases of this nature in Las Vegas where there is little or no chance that the state could meet its burden.

I mentioned before that when you get to the good gigs, big gubmint contracts, high paid professional licenses, they ask what you've been ARRESTED for, besides what you're convicted for. When you tap dance and say it was all a mistake or unfair you just sound like MORE of a barroom brawler or anti-social fuckup.

And ESPECIALLY if it's violent and you're not going for something like a military contractor job where things like that are common, they'll give the gig to ANYONE BUT YOU.

Things at work are stressful enough without having a vain hothead around who likes getting in fights.
