Anywhere with small towns/cities you get the best attention. My favorite part of the country is not anywhere in the east. It is the SW or the south in general. I notice anywhere from S Carolina, over the south and onward to most of the SW is full of high response on POF. Here, a simple hi or Hola actually gets replies. The bitch shield women are strict in the east demanding some special openers skills. They don't demand that so much in the south.
