Although I consider myself an intermediate player, I still feel the threat of the "Girlfriend trap", a beta stage every player has gone through sooner or later.

What I mean is: if you basically come from almost ZERO girls interested in you and progressively get a fair amount of girls VERY interested in you, it is very hard (not to say impossible) not to fall back into a Beta dip and say to yourself: "well, finally I have this 7 which seems like the perfect girl to me. Great GF material!", and so on...

Once you're into the Game it's too much fun just to settle down with a GF.

How do you guys resist the GF trap?

You'll probably find that finding a nice girl, becoming a better lover will attract more women in the long run. And if the GF is not more fun for you than gaming, then don't get into it. If you do find one that is better than gaming, good for you.

There's no such thing as a "girlfriend trap". It's all in your mind.

If they can't hang with your rules or lifestyle you gotta cut 'em loose man.

My default line is, "It wouldn't work out". I've also been using, "You don't want me I'm damaged goods". Seems to turn them on more.
