I go to up to NYC periodically and I'm sick of the Manhattan scene (for a number of reasons, mostly related to having to deal with high-pressure social scenes, expensive, attitude, etc.); I'm also interested in meeting Greek/Greek-American girls if possible…can anyone recommend some bar/clubs in the Astoria neighborhood? (If there are any, I've only been there once and saw lots of restaurants.)

Last time I was in Astoria 2 years ago, cavo (http://www.cavoastoria.com/) turned into a night club after midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. They would clear away all the tables and because the place is big, there was a huge dance floor. By 1AM it was loaded with hot women. The problem with the place was the music was louder than any nightclub in Manhattan. It was painful to my ears. If you want to go to astoria for the greek girls this is not the place for you. Most of the people who party here are not from Astoria.

This place is a very large lounge and there were a lot of greek girls the last time I went a few years ago.

The problem with this place is there is no subway stop nearby so you have to take a cab or bus.

This is the coolest neighborhood bar in Astoria. It always had people 7 days a week.

I've never been to this place on Weekend evenings but I heard it gets super packed. It has a large outdoor area and a large indoor area as well.
