This is crazy, even for America.

Can we also get some advertisements promoting the heterosexual male lifestyle? Maybe something telling girls not to make false rape claims, lie about sexual harassment in the workplace, not to try to start fights with men in clubs, etc.

I can't really wrap my head around the agenda.

I'm of a liberal background, and I can see taking a view that this is about helping the general society to be friendly and accommodating. A push in a direction of feeling civic.

Even if we are generous and assume the agenda is about being socially inclusive, the glaring lack of message to be inclusive of normal male concerns shows that there is in fact an underlying agenda here.

I'm not sure what it is yet. Something about "let me have value despite the fact that I'm sexually unappealing to you". A common fatty feminist message.

Which is a silly message really. Men will always value a womens sexual worth - that's not going to go away.

Or is it? Do men accept the fat more due to such billboards?

Maybe men really are so socially pliable that the fat acceptance propaganda works?

Women sometimes will fuck a provider type, even if she isn't hugely turned on by him. She'll give him the green light to get down to business.

Maybe the ugly chicks know that they can get their foot in the door by hacking mens desire to be good social citizens.

It's a real weak spot of most men - to want to be good boys and to fit in.

So I think we have to blame men for these types of attempts at social control by women. Apparently it often works.

One sexual strategy men have is to band together to enforce strict lifetime monogamy among the entire community. To use social pressure to get a mate to settle for them.

Gets trillions of dollars in debt, runs the economy into the ground, and faces a looming war with Iran.

This is what to expect in a culturally marxist (politically correct) society. The goal is the destruction of male and female roles, and family, resulting in an androgynous society dependent upon the state. The state becomes the family (thus enabling an economic marxist revolution) and the imprint upon the child's mind is made at early developmental stages, when he is separated from the mother due to her need to work. It is only natural then for the child not to look to family which is based upon traditional gender roles, but as one of a group to an authority figure (government licensed day care worker, government paid teacher, police, politician, etc).

One of my friends sister had a child a year or two ago. She was lower income and wanted to get back to work. I remember her, with a breast feeding child in her arms, saying how day care facilities were now taking babies in who were 18 months old. My jaw dropped. At 18 months, she is going to turn over the development of the child to a stranger who has to watch many, many other children just so she can go work. I know that's wrong, but this is life under cultural marxism.

The United States cultural changes disgust me. I wouldn't want to raise children in this society anymore.

Since I am somewhat immature, even at my age, if I were in Washington I think I'd add the following graffiti to the empty space between the first two paragraphs of the first propaga...I mean ad:

As for the ad. it is very sad how far the modern left has fallen. And this is from someone who would otherwise support at least a few of their historical ideas. Can you imagine what someone like FDR would think if brought back to life, only to see the people now bearing his torch are running stupid ads like this instead of making a real difference?

We have a gay female mayor down here but I doubt these ads would ever fly. I don't really understand what's going on in DC. It's like they try to hard to be nice to everyone (except straight guys).

I'd totally put money towards that. Except I'd deliberately court controversy, with edgy, offensive messages, eg hating on fatties, and mocking transvestites. Make sure it's funny, and I guarantee there will be (outraged) press coverage. You might even get your money back when they pull the ad halfway through the planned run due to complaints . Like Durangotang stated, this is the natural progression of cultural leftism. Feminism in particular has been rotten to the core for over a hundred years, if not right from the beginning. I recommend the blog Oz Conservative for a good discussion of this. He explains liberalism as the desire for pure unmoored autonomy. The only way to accomplish that is by claiming that the facets of our identities that we cannot choose must not matter, and indeed are meaningless. These traits include things like your race and your sex. And not only that, any differences that emerge along those lines, must alternately be denied, suppressed, or eliminated.

Transvestites serve the liberal's goal of making gender seem like an arbitrary distinction. It's sort of like combining two things that are traditionally classified separately, and then claiming there is no distinction. Like if you combined an apartment and an office and then claimed there is no difference between a home and an office. Except now it does a mediocre job of filling each of those roles, nor does it change the fundamental nature of a home or office.
