So I signed up this weekend and make a one-sentence profile. I've sent probably 25 messages, somewhat tailored to something they mentioned in their profiles and a few totally canned. I've only messaged 7+ girls on the hotness scale. I attach a pic to my initiating message and do not publish it on my profile.

In one day I have one phone number, and on going conversations with 6 girls. It takes some "mining" to find ones worth my 30 seconds to peck out a quick message to, but I'm surprised at the reception. It's definitely easier than okcupid, as I think people are using this more as a tool to meet people vs. flaunt their shit on a full-fledged profile site.

There are some crazies to look out for...one girl has been messaging me and wants me to impregnate her...no strings attached. She's an 8 in her like six pictures...but she's either bat-shit crazy or a con. I'm amusing myself with this one anyway...she was describing her ovulation timing and how much sex we need to have in order to ensure her pregnancy. LMAO can't make this shit up.

Anyway, I'll follow up as I meet these girls IRL (don't worry, not the psycho ones) and on any bang closes.

So after about 40 messages, I've gotten 3 numbers from a 19 yr old, 21 yr old, and 30 yr old (she looks 18, so tiny). Anyway, the 21 yr is the hottest by far, shes definitely a 9. She led on like she wanted to meet up, but turns out she just wanted to sext all night so she's obviously playing games.

I added more pictures given the relative success early on with little effort and will see where that takes me.

You are either very good looking or you are getting fake messages. Maybe from troll profiles from other guys or from guys in India who eventually will offer you a cam show for money. I doubt a 9 would need to be online to get laid. Where are you geographically located?

Located in ATL.

So I found the 9s instagram page with a picture of her there also so don't think it was a fake profile, but she was obviously just there for shits and giggles. Anyhow she disappeared so it's moot.

At this point I've not sent any more messages. I have drinks scheduled with a girl tomorrow night (30yo, a 7) and another one I'm meeting next week (24yo, also a 7 in my book but from fresh off the boat from S. America and a nice body, so that helps). There were two others that I texted with but decided they weren't worth pursuing - not that attractive and texting had red flags (19 and 21).

At the end of the day, a few hours work (~50 messages and lots of searching) for 2 numbers (edit: 2 potential dates - I got a total of 6 numbers with subsequent text responses). I'm not sure that's a great ROI as you could probably fare better approaching IRL on a weekend night.

I'm considering Match and OKC (prior experience w/ OKC, actually had a gf from there when I lived just outside NYC). Looks like Atlanta has a decent selection for these sites so we'll see what happens there.


Wayout - ZERO girls messaged me initially. I had about 12 girls send some sort of response out of my 50 or so messages sent. Most likely these girls don't browse listings or initiate conversation at all. If they are halfway decent looking they spend all of their time going through their Inbox.

Not to hate, but a few hours of work for a few numbers sounds kind of average. You could achieve a lot more with a few hours in a bar or on the street.

Online game is a great supplement to in person approaching, not a substitute

You can do it early in the morning, on your lunch hour, evenings when you are too tired or it would be nonproductive to go out.

I have a date with a new girl almost every week from online, and I'm sure i spend less than 90 minutes a week working the sites. That's much less time money and effort than I put into cold approaching.

So I had a date with the 30yo last night. Let me just say...very promising. We came back to my place and messed around some. Her nipples are pierced. Hanging out again tomorrow.

The S American girl still wants to get together and the 9 started texting me again and we skyped last night. She's a nerd, was playing xbox. She told me she's extremely shy but a raging slut on the inside. We'll see where it goes, but so far she seems hesitant to meet. For her to be so hot she has to be really weird or something to prefer skyping over meeting up when we're not far from each other. Maybe she's still qualifying me or making sure I'm not a psycho or stalker - something I've noticed all of the girls on online do to some extent before agreeing to text or meet. They also have mostly all had google voice numbers, and provide their real number later on.

I'm done with the site. There's diminishing returns and no longer makes sense to waste time on there as I've already messaged most of the hot girls in a 30 mile radius.

Opening messages were 2-5 sentences long, did not start with a hey hi or anything like that. I played off their profiles, and tried to mirror their style, provide some sort of hook (a question or assumption that they'd want to counter), and usually ended with "drop me a line if you want to talk".

Fully agree. All my work was done on downtime at work or from iphone when I was tied up in a waiting room or something.

You've been on the site for one week, had dates, got other potential dates lined up including with 9s and you've decided you're done with it? Something doesn't add up there. Seems like you've had some sort of success and yet you're bailing on it.

I'm on POF now and I've had less success than he has thus far. I can see his point regarding the 30 mile radius bit. I live near Boston and I can honestly say there are like MAYBE 40 women tops, that appear to have real profiles, as there are a TON of fake profiles on POF, that are worth talking to within like 25 miles of me. Once the well runs dry I'll move on for a couple months then I'll try my luck again.
