This video made me a believer:





She had all the glamour in the world: supermodel jet-setting lifestyle, plenty of millionaires (maybe billionaires) and pro athletes to date if she wanted, fame, beauty, and a seven figure salary. She was living the "dream life" that so many women with a whole lot less to offer sacrifice their souls for 24/7, spending much of their lives trying to mimic on facebook, twitter and instagram.

Instead of joining them in worshiping this silly glamour above all else, she somehow found a way to put her desire of family and motherhood ahead of all of that. Many women with MUCH less to lose (ex: not supermodels with bodies to match, no seven figure salaries, etc) are too selfish (or too tuned into the dominant feminist/anti-family and anti-male mantra) to sacrifice for a child/husband like that even if they have the means to do so. This involved taking time off from the jet-setting career, having to put her body through pregnancy (and recovering from it to get back to work), settling for a guy she loved who maybe isn't LeoNardo DiCaprio, Ronaldo, Adam Levine or some other mega-celebrity that could up her status/fame quotient (her DJ husband is a D-list celebrity at best, probably not even that).

It seems that too many western women, when given her choices, would continue living solely for MORE money/fame/status, etc, with things like children/marriage to be put off until way down the road as mere "distractions" to the greater goal of aggrandizing her celebrity lifestyle/image and climbing the hypergamous female societal ladder we all hate so much.

In a world where so many women with much less to offer are insisting on never letting anything get in the way of their "career", "fun" and "independence", Doutzen actually made room for other things in her life-a man she gave a fuck about (who isn't merely there to enhance her own status/image) and a child who she realized (at the age of just 24/25) would be more valuable than any wealth, random alpha cocks, or other silliness she could accrue if she didn't devote the time to having/raising him. That is a realization well over 90% of western women in her position could never make, and almost never seem to make.

Even now, her family is her central focus-she is career oriented, but the child's wellbeing is the main motive for that focus. This is the kind of career oriented/feminist outlook I could get behind. It is one that focuses on maintaining a family as an end unto itself rather than trying to discard/put the family (particularly the husband and men in general) aside as useless inhibitors and/or distractions (as is commonly advocated by western feminists) in favor of more time on the cock carousel or more time served in devotion to some corporation and the accumulation of more shoes/clothes and other useless crap related to that vapid (yet too often idolized) Sex and the City lifestyle.

This kind of selflessness is rare in a young woman-she's the anti-Carrie Bradshaw. Maybe I'm pedestalizing a bit here, but I'm glad to see such women still exist in the western world.

This probably goes without saying, but I think a girl's attitude can affect how attractive she is- just as much as how she dresses herself or does her hair.

This is why a lot of internet discussions seem very extreme to me. In Holland, where this girl is from, we do have feminism and many (university) girls call would identify with it, but it's just equity feminism. They want to go to school and vote.

We don't have the gender feminism bullshit. Most Dutch people are way too level headed for such post modernist bullshit, or too stupid to mind such cultural things in general. We don't have the man hating dykes. We do have a lot of propaganda and positive discrimination, but those political things aren't absorbed by regular people. We're unbrainwashable hehe.

Talking to young girls at uni, they all talk about studying and having a career.

Then I say I am studying so I can provide for my family later in life by myself, something that's not verbalized often (at least buy guys like me) and they all say that a family is actually more important and they like the idea of not having to work full time.

Lesson: being a man will bring out the woman in them. Unless they're corrupted but who'd want those?

I used to believe the same about Alizee, but it seems that she has separated from her husband recently, after 9 years of marriage. Let's see where Doutzen Kroes is in 10 years. I agree with the general praise though.

If she's happy with her decision, good for her. And if she's taking a lot of time out to raise her son, then good for her son.

However I don't get all this "she's selflessly getting married to a normal guy instead of furthering her modelling career so we should praise her". I'd have no problem if she married Cristiano Ronaldo instead of a DJ because of status - as we know, women are attracted to status among other things. To say otherwise would be like encouraging me to settle for marrying Miss Jane Johnson if I'm already banging, say, Doutzen Kroes.

Perhaps to fame and status but I think that they are trying to get access to the top guys by trying for fame and status. Also, in a way both men and women are hypergamous - status in women is based on looks, and every guy wants to "marry up" in terms of looks! What you actually hate, Athlone, I think is the tendency of women to always look for something better and have no qualms about going for it and ditching the current boyfriend/husband in the process, or rejecting perfectly decent and self-actualised guys for a shot at the super alpha. That's true - it's merciless. But then again I regularly use 5s and 6s for social proof in order to fuck an 8.


That said, it's always nice to see someone self-aware enough sit down and think about what they really want out of life, regardless of whether it matches society's expectations.

Same. I looked this girl up on Wikipedia, she's from a small village (1,600) people in Friesland. Maybe that's why her attitude is different? I don't get the point of this thread though, she's 27 years old. How is she different from any other supermodel marrying and having kids? As far as I know all of the older VS Angels have been doing the same thing (Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr etc).

Kroes didn't aspire to go to school. She plainly says that she got her high school degree and then pursued modeling OVER college/master/phd. So why do you tacitly try to connect Kroes to feminists, thinking that girls just want "to go to school and vote"? Kroes didn't want to go to school.

You could say that Kroes has a career. But she also has a million orbiters who would pull any string or buy her anything or set up any job she would ever want. SO her actions are in no way any different to other hot women.

I think you have to compare Kroes to other women in her position. Of course she's not the first model to marry and have kids, but generally the others have waited longer to do so, and have found famous or wealthy men to hook up with. In that sense, she's different from many of the others. And I don't know of any others that sat down and really talked about it the way Kroes has here. Also, many of the others thrust their kids in front of the media also, and treat them like accessories to their lifestyle.

From the video, it seems like she ended up modeling by accident - that she actually had other ambitions, and didn't really aspire to it. Remember - she can always be a teacher, but you have a smaller window to model. Plenty of other models and actresses have gone back to school. Her upbringing and where she's from may definitely contribute to how grounded she seems to be, but sometimes the opposite can happen - a person can feel like they've "outgrown" their small town roots, and become totally different people. I think if we can rip the vapidity and attention-whoring starfucking of some of these other chicks, we can take a moment to give kudos to someone like this for doing it in the way we preach it should be done. It isn't about her being somehow extraodinary, but she definitely appears more grounded than most women in her position.

Just one kid?

First of all... having a child isn't going to hurt her overall chances for life success. Hot women can and do have women at young ages all the time, men don't give a fuck.

Second, having one kid and getting an interview for it just shows how ridiculously pampered this woman is.


Regardless... she does seem really modest. Unless I met her, however, there's no way to know for sure if she's acting.

Dutch people are very modest and very different from say Americans. I don't mean to piss people off but Americans are really materialistic. Always talking about how much money they're making and how much stuff they have. Everything is bigger and better in America. Dutch people are not at all like this. We don't really brag about money or accomplishments and keep silent about it. It's considered bad manners if you ask some one how much they make or to ask a question about money in general. Although Dutch people have a direct way of speaking, they will bend over backwards avoiding questions about money.

I'm not so familiar with Doutzen Kroes because i don't really watch much television but the things i saw about her make me think she honest.

I only know two other Dutch posters (SixSix and Amsterdao). I'm sure they will confirm it.

And yes, i'm a bad example of a Dutch person considering I wrote a book about boning girls worldwide.

This is what you see from this interview and other press releases. How many times has the media skewed reality? It happens so often that I personally have to put on a mental filter not to forget the source of the info that is being presented to me.

You don't get to the top in this business by just being good and being a 'together person'. We know well what has gone on in Hollywood with couch casting, the model cocaine parties, etc.

As you said, Dutch people don't talk about it (same for EU in general) but they harbor the same fantasies as Americans, so in essence I do not see the difference. If anything, it makes them hypocritical.

EU has become VERY materialistic, esp. the young people!
