I think the indisputably best multivitamin on the market is Life Extension Mix.

This shit is the Rolls-Royce of multivitamins... In addition to supplying 100% or close to 100% Daily Value of all the vitamins and dietary minerals, it also has a bunch of other potent nutrients in it, namely extracts from plants/fruits/veggies, and lots of other assorted doodads (inositol, taurine...) with proven utility.

Only two real drawbacks:
It will run you up to $1,200 a year, which is obviously way the hell more than most people can justify spending on a nutritional supplement.
And, it's kind of annoying to take, because a full dose is 9 tablets or 14 capsules a day. You split them up and take them with every meal.

So, this stuff is far from being the most practical multivitamin, but the name of your thread was "the best multi-vitamin", so, there you go.

If you want to balance out absolute quality with affordability, then I think the one-a-day and two-a-day multivitamins from LEF are also excellent.

It's not that good since it has Vitamin B12 as cyanocobalamin. Please see my original post for reference on why it's the inferior form of Vitamin B12.
