I should have mentioned this, too.

Don't know how you've been doing with other girls so far, but comfort building and escalation can only get you so far. Eventually, you just have to take a minor risk and shove your tongue in her mouth. No matter how into you she is, she's almost never going to make the first move. If you're too shy, than maybe you should try with the neck and the ears first, but if she's back at your place, that's invitation enough to go a bit further. thats good advice. but on a few occasions, i've tried kissing her neck and chest. escalating a bit more.. but still, she stops me.

That's not good advice. You can't count on that because girls are practically programmed to wait for you to make the first move. One time, I had this girl in the bag - we made out in public at a bar and she was giving me tons of signs that she was DTF. Later that night, we go to her place, I decided to lay there on the bed and see if she makes a move. 15 minutes after the lights were out, we were just side by side on the bed about to sleep then I make a move.
