living on a very constrained budget in the Caucus
Have any of you lived on a very constrained budget before? Just wondering.
Because I will be somewhere in the Caucus making less than <300usd/month teaching, but still slightly higher than the average income there. I have very little money and no income right now, living pretty simply, just moved out of the states.
I'm expecting to live a simple life. I will have internet, electricity, running water at least most of the time, a cell phone, balanced diet, but probably can't afford to buy clothes, electronics, anything that is imported, or go to clubs except cheap condoms. I want to go to the gym too, I question will I have enough money for that.
I know basic Russian, started to learn the local language, I think gaming there might be interesting, btw I have little experience with gaming/flirting with girls.
I wonder could I make more money some other ways, maybe online?

Which country and first or second tier? Sounds like you're on the Georgian teaching scheme the government there runs. You'll live on your money but just take some spare cash to cover luxuries. Living purely on the $300 would be tough for me.

Nah, I got pretty much no money to cover luxuries. Yes, it is in Georgia. It is not even 300bucks after tax. It is gonna be tough, I hope it is not some village, I hope it is a city at least 50,000 people, preferably over 150,000. I believe I get to choose depending on the remaining position. I pretty sure US is funding Georgian infrastructure, then the money goes to US citizens again, how ironic.

I was in Georgia in July, great place but conservative girls,in a village/second tier I'd imagine them to be hyper conservative. What with you living there though and being a part of the community you'll probably be able to run social circle. Can you not raise any funds at all?

Go for it,what you got to lose, besides even if you end up starving with no money it's going to be a good story to tell. What else you going to do in your home country that will be more interesting? Besides you don't know what opportunities will arise once you are over there.

If I don't pay for dates in Georgia, do my chances of getting laid significantly get lowered?
I hear in Russia/Ukraine, and more traditional and poor countries are like that.
