For some reason i thought getting tested for stds was free. When I went up to Planned Parenthood this chick told me

Her: The nurse isn't in today but what std do you want to test for?
Me: Uh, can you guys test for all of them?
Her: The most common test is the ghonareha and Herpies package for $149."

Hows a college kid like me supposed to be able to afford these tests! Are there coupons that I don't know about?

Does your school's health services do tests? Mine has free STI testing, though treatment costs of course. You should check.

Government health services... county or town... might be able to help. Here in Broward County, (South Florida) many STD tests are free.

Just look and sound poor when you deal with them.

Go to a walk in doctor (not a clinic, just a doc who doesn't take appointments, mine is that way he's a "doc of the people"). Because of their demographic, they're generally cheaper since a lot of their patients don't have insurance.

I had one back in June and it was 47 bucks

I think Planned Parenthood is the only "cheap" one that doesn't use the Q tip. I called around and the real cheap, ghetto places are gonna stick a Q Tip down your piss hole.

gotta love our healthcare system. everyone gets a piece of the pie. the fucking test takes 2 seconds and costs a buck, but you need to pass it along through the hands of 10 fucking nurses, get a sign off by an MD, and get ripped off by the chemical pharmaceutical companies.

Places like Planned Parenthood often have prices for broke people. If you don't have cash, they might give you a low-income deal. Don't abuse it. If you have coin, put it down.

Planned Parenthood has gotten me out of more than one jam in the past. I'm thinking of making a monthly or semi-annual donation to them.

Q tips suck ass. I had the STD Q tip test when I went to sex clinic here. Shit was purple afterwards.
