Jr, we aren't just men... we are men who excel. We are excellent men. Just in virtue of living the truth we are superior to men who do not.


I have an idea that we can steal from the Ancient Greeks. They used a term called "arete", which meant having virtue in a subject, or being excellent. The Greeks did not buy into equality. Neither should we.

In The Peloponnesian War, Thucydides often talks about the Great Men of his day. The man he had the most respect for, Pericles, he described in one sentence:

"Pericles, the first citizen of Athens."

I love that line. It says everything you need to know about Pericles. Who was he? He was first place. The best. The guy at the top.


I feel the same way about this forum. This is a forum of the First Men. The first men of the internet. The pioneers to accept the red pill and change our lives accordingly. Leaders showing the way for millions of disaffected men, throughout the world.

So, if we need to use a shorthand to describe ourselves, why don't we describe things as they are?

The category of stuff the forum and other associated blogs discuss could be billed in the more general "Men's Interest" category. Its really what we are- high level men's interest.

Gets is away from the steady corrosion of the manosphere title, while possibly being able to take on Ask Men and all those weak men's interest sites.

Not sure what we'd call ourselves, but I lean towards others that have proposed "Men"

The Reds or Red men

First off, this obviously alludes to the red pill with rejecting the BS we hear from feminsts and to seek the truth for interacting with women and all the encompasses it.

But the name also allows us to bring in the revolutionary aspects from the soviets and our beloved red pill oasis full of my favorite type of women, Russia. The Soviets were against the West and all that it stood for. It was a revolution that changed Russian society and fought back against the privileged to give power to the people. The Marxist ideal was a man who was generalist, a rejection of the capitalist notion of specialization. A man could hunt in the morning, make his own axe and cut his own wood. He owned his labour and was a free man. In addition, the Soviets fought the good fight against the West and many Russians still consider Soviet Russia the proudest time of Russia, (which is maybe why they keep electing ex-KGB guys among other reasons).

Further, almost everything of note has an R in this part of the internet.

Lastly, this name allows us to maker some badass banners. Roosh can modify the Chi Gevera image to have a big ass bread. Or we can have a panty instead of a sickle.

How about just International Players? That's what we are here essentially isn't it? Maybe add the word lifestyle/location independent in there somewhere.

Look at our usernames: Playa w/a passport, international swagger, int'l playboy, etc.

I think the name should have a more positive connotation. Although i like to read about anti-feminism/men's rights, i perceive those guys as a lot more bitter. Other sites extol women abroad and how much better than they are than american women (usually int'l marriage sites).

This site is about getting laid, period, with an emphasis on international women.

Arete refers to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life and should be discussed more on this forum. We're already talking about it in so many words, now is a good time to talk about it more specifically.

My contribution to this thread would be the Alpha Men's Society, or Arete Men's Society. Both of these encompass the diverse lifestyles within this community while capturing the essence of who we strive to be as men. I like Alpha Men's Society better because people won't have to look it up in the dictionary to understand what we mean.

I think is hard to blanket the forum with one catch all.

There seems to be guys who are much more about the local grind and the logistics around travel and banging. Think the Indiana Jones of the dating world. Exotic country, locals who want to kill you, leaping over pitfalls, cockblocks, and shit tests to get the golden bang. Roosh, Neil Skywalker, etc. I would call them privateers, raiders, nomads, conquistadors

The there are the guys who want to get things done, movers and shakers, wheelers and dealers. Entrepreneurs but outside of the "9-5" grind. See El mechanico. I would call them hustlers, mercurials, scorpios, dynamos

Then there are the romanticists who appeal to an idealism about being men. See Gmanifesto. That would require words like G, Cavalier, Gent, Don.
