I've got 3 more days left before my account deletion is complete. As much as I like having access to "friends" on a constant basis. The shite really adds little value to my life. I realized that I was seeking out self-validation through my wall posts, and I got tired of all the attention-whoring and the newsfeeds with all that instagram shite and bishes taking dozens of pictures of cupcakes and themselves +/-25lbs later.

I also hated having a list of friends to chat with but the second you say "hey" to them-guys and girls-they go inactive or act too busy; Christ my own fucking cousins do that to me! I feel alot better now that I'm not compulsively typing "facebook" in my address bar when I can't think of what else to look at.

I'm fully convinced that it's only a short matter of time before those folks at FB start selling off profile info to background check firms and/or directly to employers. They're already giving law enforcement the stuff so what's to stop them from the next step? People are knowingly putting up their info and are presented the illusion of privacy, yet there is no current legislation to say that FB does not have the right to grant complete access to any private or government entity.

The issue is still up for debate in the US Senate Subcommitee
