Hormonal Birth control decreases female libido and makes them crazy
U probably already know, but here is more proof.
On various forums and studies, and even drugs' side effect say hormonal birth control can significantly decrease sexual drive, make more difficult for women to orgasm and lubricate, and create crazy mood swing.
Most hormonal birth controls are bad!! Maybe condoms or other shit is the way to go.
It seems that especially the ones who control progesterone are especially bad for libido, although there is some that not impact progesterone which has way less impact on the sexual drive.

RE: Hormonal Birth control decreases female libido and makes them crazy
Yes, it does indeed say so in the enclosed leaflets. It's also described in all the OBGYN textbooks (I'm a physician and this is the kind of thing I would worry about as a student, go figure). Hormonal contraptives also increase the risk of a number of diseases, or serve as an additional risk factor for others, in some cases they're a protective factor.

However... you need to try and keep this in perspective: unwanted drug side effects are something that doesn't happen with every single patient, otherwise the drug would not be licensed. I'd wager at least 300-400 mio women world wide take the pill every single day. Most of those women are sexually more active than the other 3 bio women on the planet. So really how bad can it be huh?

Without touching on how hormones work exactly and how a lot of them interact in your body through feedback loops, I agree though, personally I'm not into taking hormones, so I hesitant seeing my lass swallow them every morning or night. That is my issue though. I trust women who begin taking the pill will cease it if they notice significant change in their sexuality. What the pill can potentially do and what it does do to a woman's sexuality are two different things.

In my relationships, birth control has just proven to be the most practical option, although I have, for the concerns you mentioned in the past brought up this topic and discussed it.

Basically, i'd keep it in mind but not go ballistic over it. I still consider the pill to be fantastic example of how modern science has made my life easier.

I've been with two women who had been on birth control since before they started having sex, and I kept trying to convince them to quit due to my own curiosity (the little scientist in my taking over). It never happened, but frankly, again in my own love life, a lack of libido has not been an issue. My sticking points are somewhere totally different.

I don't see what there's to gain blaming birth control for guys not getting laid enough.
