Olympics and body image
There was a big kerfluffle when comments were made about one of Australia's swimmers not looking slim enough.

Here's what the US has to say: http://www.smh.com.au/olympics/news-lond...22vyy.html

I puked a little.

At least the bitch featured in the article acknowledges that women shouldn't aspire to look disgusting like she does.

That was hard to read. "She's loud and proud of her impressive poundage" shes just a fat shit who can lift heavy things. Like chaos and pain says nobody cares if you're strong if you're a fat fuck.

Olympic weightlifters make me feel like a fat and weak fuck though. oh well time to hit the gym harder and keep my food as clean as it has been.

For comparison, here is Behdad Salimi, who was mentioned in the article and holds the world record for snatch...that's something we here can all respect, haha.

RE: Olympics and body image
It was ridiculous...the Aussie swimmer is clearly not in good shape for an Olympic swimmer, yet the initial observations were immediately drowned out in cries that women cannot be criticised for their body shape.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

All the fat people are shamed and stewing it's great. When the olympics are over it will be stat quo again. I wish I was in Olympic Village I heard it gets freaky in there.

This is the swimmer we are talking about/
she got 8 gold medals...so ill give it to her..she built....like a seal

I dont know if this is more a problem for the world, or america.
But i can see chubby aussie chicks thinking its ok to be chubby and say they are still ok cause an olympic swimmer can do it.

Then again..she won those medals years ago.
if she wins medals at her weight now..ill never talk about her again

^^^ I don't understand how an Olympic-class swimmer can be that chubby. Her metabolism must have gone to shit with age or something. Compare to an older pic:

Gotta feel bad for her. She put on all of that weight and none of it went to her tits. Fortunately for her fat floats.

how could an olympic level swimmer have that type of body? Don't they burn like 5,000 calories a day? It's strange more than anything.

Fat? We are fit. Get over it, say women athletes

Quote:American weightlifter Holley Mangold tips the scales at 346 pounds (157 kilograms) and she is proud of being the heaviest woman at the London Olympics.

Mangold, 22, who competed in the women's 75 kilogram-plus division, is one of growing number of women athletes speaking out at their frustration with the public scrutiny of their body size and image rather than their fitness and skills.

She should cut fat, because being so damned fat is weight that could have been thrown onto the barbell as plates. That fatness is not a matter of pride, it cost America medals. That fatness is communism and Osama bin Laden personified.

Haha. Oh, and Mangold, you're FAT.

I'd give the airplane, that flew her monstrous ass to London, a medal. That's some feat of engineering.

RE: Olympics and body image
She does have a point. We don't focus nearly as much on the physiques of the men as much as we do the women. With men, it's not about the look, it's about the results. So let's think about this like men for a second.

You come in weighing twice the entry level for your weight class, you are proud of that fact, then you go to finish 10th out of 14. I guess throwing your weight into it just didn't cut it. You should be thankful to your NFL brother. If it weren't for him, nobody would be paying any attention to you. You have no fitness, and no skill.

When a man shows up to camp out of shape, he's told to remedy the problem, or you are off the team. Women just turn on the waterworks and hope that someone comes to their rescue (or that there is nobody there to take her spot). This is one of the many reasons that nobody respects women's athletics.

RE: Olympics and body image
Yeah, we don't focus on the men's physiques because we've had way more examples of men with shitty physiques doing incredible feats of strength. Men have more muscle in general and most of their fat shows on their bellies (which can be misleading).

I agree with you though. I think women aren't nearly as grounded in reality about physical limitations as men are. I've seen way more girls thinking they could kick my ass than guys who've claimed the same. I got so sick of that shit at work that I told this fat cunt "Yes, I would hit a woman. Equal rights, equal fights bitch." No, I'm not trolling. The girl I told that to warmed up to me real fast after I said that. She also quit her job the day after I did because I wasn't coming back.

“I have a very simple rule when it comes to management: hire the best people from your competitors, pay them more than they were earning, and give them bonuses and incentives based on their performance. That’s how you build a first-class operation.”

I agree with what she says here:

"Tattoos on fat girls look really nasty," Mangold told the NYT. "You really don't want me to get the rings tramp-stamped on my butt."
