I found this Dalrock post about a galling article where older women are indignant that men are not willing to splurge on them.

By comparison, Roosh's latest article complains that feminism aims to allow women to be fat sluts. My basic question is: Isn't that a natural consequence of income equality?

I can understand that women who make less money must compensate with femininity. That explains why U.S. women were more feminine in a previous generation, and why third world women are more feminine. But if women pay their way, then why should they work hard on appearance and personality?

There is a certain justice in the Leave-It-to-Beaver world. If you can't find a hot wife then you simply haven't worked hard enough to be rich and successful. But now women don't want your financial success. Instead they want game. I suspect the pretty and personable U.S. women get snatched up very quickly, and will be hard to find in nightclub environments.

Women still want your financial success. The fact that they make more money now hasn't changed that. It just means they want a man to foot the bill, while they splurge on themselves with their money. Game is definitely more necessary now though, because she doesn't HAVE to have your money. And her NEED for your money hasn't totally dissipated. A lot of these career women are looking for the best opportunity to get out of the game, have a kid or two, and live nice. They're just making that move a little later than previous generations did.

In Tampa bay the girls still need/want guys money. It's not like DC. They're all retards and if it's not a dude it's parents or grandparents paying for their shit. I know because I own a shop. They never pay their own bill.

Because most of the time a man must not only take care of his financial life but his appearance as well. Why should it be above a woman to do both as well?

Older women especially ought to be foot the bill by default being less feminine due to age.

I was in a local auto repair shop last week and some girl was busy complaining that her parents wouldn't foot the bill for an $800 repair job. I also learned during these few short minutes that the bitch works at Hooter's and takes home $3,000 monthly, and lives with her boyfriend in an apartment that rents for $1,000/month. And that in a city where the average 2 bedroom apartment goes for $500-$600.

The funniest part is if nobody has the cash they resort to calling the place they got the car from even if it was two years ago. When that fails it's on me and she wants to make payments or some crazy shit. I lose my female customers because of guys wanting to take their cars to their own people since they're paying. I do some shit to them though like over charging the ac so it doesn't have that frosty bite but it still works and many other things as well. I'm a dick.

I throw out a test on every first few meetings with a new girl. That is, do they offer to pay their half? If they do, they score a bonus point. If they offer to pay their half, then I'll offer to pay the full amount. If they still pay their half, they get another bonus point.

They always have to be feminine, otherwise they don't get a second meeting.

The reason this works is because girls want to be on dates. If they didn't, they'd flake. Their offering of payment is recognition of the fact I've brought value to her time.

At the end of the day, I enjoy my own company, so I'm not going out of my way to pay to spend time with anyone, and if they don't fulfill my criteria for an enjoyable time, then I'm certainly not going to see them again.

I agree. I had a discussion with a woman I know recently about this. She was on a date with a guy, and when the check came he grabbed it and pulled out his card. She offered, he declined, no big deal. Then she asked, "Are you sure?" She said later in the car, homie was NOT HAPPY. She wasn't trying to test him - she was legitimately offering to pay her share. But I told her the mistake was making an issue of it. He already grabbed it and was taking care of it. Most men are fully prepared to do so when they invite you out. By asking him if he was sure he could handle it, it was as if you were directly questioning his ability to pay. If you feel strange about a guy paying for you, call him one day and ask HIM out, on you. But don't make the whole issue of the check awkward when it doesn't have to be.
