I think it happens more than you realize. It's the single greatest motivator for opening a girl. Problem is the reality never ends up being as good as the fantasy you build up in your head. It's not a bad thing though. It's all a part of the process.

I let my aloof guard down with a girl and due to some bad luck, bad logistics.. Thurs she had to leave for work early and I got an unattractive attitude with how she basically rejected me on a second date. Now the third date looks unlikely as well as the bang which almost never happens for me

My flaw was thinking this girl was different and that our connection was strong enough that I could let my guard down a bit and relax and take my time with her

We have to understand the difference between a healthy aloof and an unhealthy aloof.

I would say a healthy aloof is that, no matter how pretty she is or how much status she has, you are not impressed by that. You have not bought into the ego of it all and don't need any validation from her. When you see her as a person and see all her faults, you only really need slight negging which indicate you see her.

Secondly, that you don't *need* her pussy, you are not just another dog trying to ram your shaft into her. This is important for "high value" girls especially, it isn't really that valid for other girls so much. As Roosh said, she will then often chase you, because you have displayed you are a higher status than her if you really don't need her.

I think an unhealthy aloof is holding back too much, not displaying the passion (when its really on, or when the potential is there) this will turn the girl off, she will not understand where you are coming from, it will sow seeds of doubt in her mind. She wants to be wanted, and not just for what she has between her legs. When your desire is authentic, she will feel it. A lot of guys are presenting a fake, unconvincing desire for her vag, which she can normally read quite easily, that's her bread and butter of the guys swarming around her, if she is all that. There is a lot to be said for authentic romancing. This is what women crave the most. It is the ultimate chick crack.

Paternal love is a lot different than beta man love.

You can do all of this and more if you approach her like a father/daughter situation (odd I know).

Women respond very very well to stuff like that. Give it a go if you find a girl you're really into.

However, i'd be careful. This is a great way to get someone latched onto you and difficult to break free.
