While Rome may hold the political sway, Milan is Italy's economical power behind the throne. A place which has staved off much of the corruption and dysfunction of southern Italy to become a well-functioning and classy modern city.

Where to stay:
Anywhere inside the "inner ring" of the old city or near Navigli. Don't make the mistake of staying in one of the numerous Downtown hotels in the north-eastern part of town unless you are here on business. During the nights this area shuts down completely and has little life to speak of. Hotels in Italy are generally a bit more run down than their number of stars would let on, be wary of this.

Logistics:
With a passport in hand you can buy local prepaid SIM cards for 25-35€ depending on your plan. Note that you have to pry out all activation and administration controls from the clerk where you buy the card though. There won't be no English language manual.

A full day card on the metro will set you back a reasonable 4€, single rides within the city are 1.5€

Sight seeing:
The Duomo is the obvious centrepiece. Even if you come here solely to run game you owe it to yourself to take a tour in the world's third largest church/cathedral and THE largest in the Gothic tradition. If you have cultural aspirations a visit to La Scala, arguably the world's most renowned opera house, is in order. It happens to be closed during July though and tickets are out weeks in advance. The restaurant district Navigli is a must for anyone that loves good food. During the evening there are tons of Happy Hours which offer a buffet and glass of wine/beer for very affordable prices. I could go on forever regarding sight seeing, this is Milan after all one of the greatest art centres in history.


The Duomo

Prices:
With the current slide of the Euro, everyone getting paid in dollars should have no problem with affording a bit of a splurge in Milan. In this region you have access to some of the world's best wines to phenomenal prices. A good bottle of Chianti won't even cost you 5€. There's also plenty of clearances on Italian fashion during the summer months. Stock up on Zegna and Cavalli at some of the best prices in the world while you're here.

The Talent:
While Italian girls in their native country generally get a bad rap on this forum it is worth to note that a lot of girls in their college years (say 18-25) move to the city to study or find work from other parts of the country. Thus they are generally more open than the average Italian to chance encounters. The Italian girls tend to stay on the slim side with no a whole lot of back to them. Their dresses are delightfully tight during the summer months, this is a culture that values and appreciate beauty especially so for Milan (see more on this below in random points). In general this age groups speaks English pretty well and any person in Milan that works in any kind of service profession will know English well enough to communicate with you. Still you should be learning the most common Italian phrases, and a simple 'mi scusi, parlo inglese?' will help opening immensely, local or tourist. If you already know Spanish Italian will come easy in turn.

There are also plenty of tourists as well. These come in two types, typical sight-seers and the shopping/fashion tourists. Since these tourists are people that have made an active choice to travel to a non-beach destination they tend to be a bit more cultural and in my opinion hotter than the average tourist going to the Mediterranean beaches (I suspect they get plenty at home). I advise you to focus your energies on the shopping/fashion tourist group as they generally look better and travel by themselves or in small groups. You can easily intercept them in the gorgeous and open Vittori Emanuele II luxury gallery (an upscale mall just by the Duomu) and sit them down at the nearby Camparino in gallery for a spritz or espresso while talking about how the Campari family founded the place over a hundred years ago. This is a good general strategy for ANY tourist destination but even more so in Milan with its rich culture. Read up some on its history and buildings and you can take girls to any place and entrance them with how you're on grounds with a past were history was shaped.

The tourist this season seemed to be mostly central and eastern European. Outside of a few package tour groups I encountered no Brits at all, day or night.


Navigli

Random points:

*In Milan you get treatment proportionally to how good/well-dressed you look. Style is the name of the game and while you'll see lots of flip-flops (the summer days do get pretty hot) proper attire is a must if you don't want to look like a sloppy tourist. The locals certainly know how to dress and while the tourists lower the bar (as is usually the case) they are definitely in better outfits than you'd encounter around beach destinations.

*You want models? This is where you should be going. New York and Paris might have higher numbers of them but Milan at its comparably diminutive size of 1.5M people is still the third most important city in fashion (some would argue very close to Paris). Because of this Milan has the highest rate of models per capita of any major city in the world. It's impossible not to notice them out on the streets - tall, lanky creatures either rushing somewhere but often also slightly lost (most are not Italian) and completely by themselves. I lost count of the number of swan-like girls I spotted alone studying a guidebook or fold out map. Pass up such an opportunity and you are either gay or haven't done your homework on the city enough to be that charming, helpful guy. The fact that the city contains a lot of models also ups the bar for the rest of the populace when it comes to looking good.

*Someone asked where all the Eastern European tourists are this summer, they are in Milan. At least the more well-to-do ones. You can spot them by how they are putting real energy into posing in churches and at the Duomu. Another tell is how they are dragging along a guy behind them carrying their Gucci and Prada shopping bags for them. These guys are in turn easily spotted by the fact that every single one are dressed in Abercrombie & fitch t-shirts with just the logo text on the front. It's uncanny! If you want to blend in going east this year get yourself an A&F wardrobe!

*Milan offers some of the world's most plentiful Al Fresco game. Along the canals of the restaurant district [i]Navigli's[/b] streets people gather outside the hole-in-the-wall pubs/bars beer/wine in hand brought from indoors. Dozens upon dozens of groups of girls (and guys for that matter) litter these streets with socializing in mind. Yes, you can drink out in the open in this place and most people do. You have 100s of Trattorias (mid-size restaurant), Osterias (small restaurant) and micropubs in an area smaller than a km².

I know the pics aren't of great quality and the're not meant to be either. They are here to give you an idea of what you can find. Interesting.I also noticed that in northern Italian cities like Florenc,Verona there are plenty off central European girls certainly more than the local Romeos can catch.Moreover Italian guys are not serious competition apart from the dressing part.

Good work. I like the idea of lots of lonely and lost models wandering about the city.

I drove up to Ventimiglia ( first resort over the border from France )this morning from Nice for a look around and the town was full of hot young Italian chicks walking around with next to nothing on,some real stunners there. If anyone is in Milan and fancies hitting a beach then they could do worse then getting the train down there for some hunting.

I just got back from Italy, I was in Torino (Turin), so I know what you mean. I was in Turin for only two full days and I did not sarge or hit up the nightlife too hard, so I can't really give a data sheet. But I have never seen so many beautiful girls in my life before. Although the girls were not that tall, the number of 8s or above I saw was just astounding.

Here in Miami, an 8.5 or 9.5 is a rare sight indeed. Don't get wrong, having lived in LA, New York City and seen much of the U.S., I still think Miami is the best American city for hotties. But Torino, to me, was just on another level. I saw too many 8s or above to count. I was just left speechless.

Since Milan is right next to Turin, I am sure the Italian girls there were very similar. And if, as you said, you add the visiting Eastern European girls and the models or wanna-be models to the mix, I can't imagine how great the girls there must be.

I think Italy is way underrated on this forum, and I am not sure why more traveling players don't discuss it or go there more often. On my trip to Europe this summer, I went to Paris, Torino, Switzerland, and a little bit of Germany. The Italians girls were hands down the prettiest of the bunch. To be fair, the girls in all these countries were very nice, but the girls from Italy are the only ones I would rate higher than the girls from Miami (in terms of beauty).

The girls from Paris, on the other hand, were the sexiest of the countries I visited. Their sense of fashion, is the best I have ever seen in my life. Mind you, my travel experience is limited, but it is hard to imagine girls being more fashion-minded and looking so well and sophisticated in their attire, than they did in Paris. In short, Paris is a great place to find a plethora of beautiful and very well dressed women.

Having said that, the girls from Italy were on average much prettier to me, and seeing 8s or above was definitely not an uncommon sight there.

So, Vicious, thank you for your post, and now I have put Milan very high on my list as a place to visit in the near future.

While I have great respect for NaughtyNomad any such ease-of-hooking scale is going to be a guesstimation since you've got to pull MAJOR numbers (7 nights isn't going to cut it) to make the scale statistically significant.

With that said, Italian girls are hard nuts to crack. Unless they are new to the city and have not much of a social circle formed yet I wouldn't bother. Italian guys has pretty much made all Italian women into escorts where dating is synonymous with gift giving. I have a Swedish acquaintance studying in Milan and she barely remembers what it's like to pull out her credit card. If you stayed for a longer time the college girls are definitely an option. Their English is good and they usually have their own place unlike many Italians. In fact many Italians, men including live with their parents until they marry.

Me, as I mentioned I go for the tourists girls and models. Even though the latter is usually shit-hot I'd say they are easier than Italian women as long as they themselves are non-Italian. In fact I'd say foreign models are easier than most girls (I brought one with me for a few nights in Lake Como, one of the most beautiful places in the world if you ask me). The issue with them is usually logistics however, someone is paying their tab and tend to have them in the country for 3-7 days or so at a time. So scheduling with them can be a nightmare but the sense of urgency can work to your favour if you connect well enough.

With me, I generally connect by being that charming, cultured guy that can tell them all about the place. I do meticulous research before I arrive, it helps to have a genuine interest in restaurants, art and history. Actually, you don't have to do go to my lengths. London is a great place to get your Italian or Spanish flag. They are EVERYWHERE!!!
On holiday or in the countries themselves you will have your work cut out. I am near Italy now I do not even approach them as I know it is a waste of time... To be fair that is because they always are in groups and macho Italian guys are always lurking near by.

I did not do any pickup while in Italy, but I will KJ in the next few sentences and share what I think.

I went to visit a male friend in Italy. He said that in Italy the name of the game is social circle game and from what I saw and could infer, I would have to agree with him, with a small caveat below.

My friend said that many Italian men go to Brazil and Cuba to chase tail. And from what we've learned from the Rooshv forum, they also go to DR to do the same. Now, why in the world would they do so in droves given the sheer plethora of beautiful women in Italians? Surely, the men do not go to those places because they can't find women as beautiful in their own country. And since Miami is mostly Cuban and having seen and interacted with many girls from DR, I can assure you that the women of Cuba and DR have nothing on the Italians as far as looks are concerned. I would suspect the same to be true of Brazil (based on the documentaries and pictures I have seen of Brazilian women, even though we all know that many Brazilian women are extremely beautiful).

Thus one can conclude that Italian women are a hard nut to crack. I surmise that Italian women are to the average joe trying to get a nut what the Argentinian women are to the would player visiting Argentina: a vexing conundrum.

When I went out a night to a couple of bars and small clubs, I notice that everyone knew 5 or more people in the joint. No one was rolling dolo and everyone was connected to several other people. This is in line with what my friend told me about the mating scene in Italy.

So if you want to slay locals in Italy, I'd strongly suggest you pipeline as much as possible before going there. And when I say "pipelining", I mean pipelining both girls and guys. Girls for possible romance or friendship; and guys for possible friendship. I notice that the people there are much more warmer to you if you are introduced to them by someone they know. For example, I went to a get together with my friend where I was able to meet and interact with some of his friends. I met one cute girl there who was given me all sorts of IOIs and very happy to meet an American. This was the most IOIs I had gotten on this trip to Europe. The main cause of this, I believe, is because I met her through her social circle. So if you know some people on the ground and they introduce you to their friends, I think that would go a long way in securing a flag for you in Italy.

The caveat to this, as alluded above, is if you have super game ability like, say, Roosh, then I can see how you could slay the locals much easier and frequently than the average joe. The people of Italy (both men and women) were the nicest and warmest people as a group that I met on my trip. (This holds true mainly in the daytime.) So if you daygame a lot, by asking directions, elderly chat, and other game routines, I can see how you can set up a lot of Day 2s with the girls there. For they are very friendly and can be gamed way easier when they are away from their peers.

But like I said above, this is all KJ since I did not actually try to game the locals while I was there. This would be my blueprint to game Italian girls. I suspect that the Italian women are very much like their Argentinian counterpart (They are the same people after all).

So these are my thoughts, and I hope they help.

The first result in Google Italy when typing "Italian women" is that they're snobs "Le donne italiane se la tirano"...granted it's barely 200,000 results.
One of the subsequent popular results is "Le donne italiane sono brutte" (are ugly). One of the main arguments being they use a kilo of makeup, and that EE/Russian woman have more natural beauty and don't need to use anywhere near as much make-up.

I complain about local women, but no woman has left my blood curdled cold like when I was on a 10 hour bus ride in North America next to an Italian girl. She was probably mid/late 20s...her two friends were teens/twenteen and were far more friendly...I suspect they were not jaded like their friend and wanted to talk to me but the queen bitch CB'd me massively.

This is an asinine post. You've never been to Italy but yet you feel qualified to make judgment on Italian girls' looks and demeanor (based on 1) a quick Google search, 2) a bad experience on a train, and 3) what a POLISH GIRL said). That is just idiotic.

Furthermore, Vicious may have made a mistake in the language, but why do you feel the need to call him out on it? So what? He has contributed much more to this forum than you have. While all you are doing here is spouting some condescending nonsense with no basis in fact . What's with the snapping vitriol on this forum lately? I enjoyed the posts here and wasn't poking negative fun at him. I found it funny just as anyone he'd say that to in Italy would.
Italy with it's very heavily family-oriented society is just a different animal. I'd like to say game is invalid with 90% of Italian women and more useful for tourists and visitors, but even with the time I've spent there I can't say that 100% So you think game is a little-known concept in Italy...you're going to talk to women during the day--in Italy? Wow, mind blown. That is part of the Italian culture. Whereas in the west you have to strike up the courage to do so it is second nature in Italy, Italian men strike up conversations and ask women out during the day ALL the time. So what are you going to use to pipeline, and how are you going to outshine the other 50 LOCAL guys asking to meet up with her?

I have an Italian passport and go every single year, a couple of times I've gone twice in a year, and often mix in places that are usually outside of the usual tourist candylands--I am in no way an expert or knowledgeable on Italy but you are way off on your point. I spent several months there crossing over between 2011 and early 2012. I returned to Europe again only a couple of months ago and passed through Italy on my way elsewhere but that's not worth mentioning as it was only a couple of days in Italy itself.

The only thing I'll plead guilty to is having disorganized thoughts when posting. The bad experience was on a bus travelling from Canada to US. It could be just a minority of women, but I've experienced far too many younger Italian women with very poor attitudes even while ON THE JOB in customer service environments--though, unlike in the West, it is said in Italy people are offended if you don't greet the staff as you enter an establishment--I found it made no difference.

I believe Daygame could work in Italy if you have game. The Italians guys, contrary to popular belief, do not have game, at least not the level we consider game in the game community. Having the guts to approach girls and holler at them does not mean you have game. And that's what I saw the Italian guys doing while I was there. Sure Italians guys approach girls much more than we do in the U.S., but that still does not put them on a par with PUAs. Of course, as in every country, there is a small set of naturals who get girls regularly. The brother of my friend in Italy is such a natural. But like everywhere else, these naturals are in the minority. I just can't imagine what evidence led you to believe that Italian guys on average have game. Would you mind sharing it with us?

Pipelining how? Well, I do not know what sites Italians use for online dating, but I am sure if you research it yourself you can find some. Moreover, for social game, I think Couchsurfing and other similar sites would be a good place to start. You can also use interpals.net to meet people from all over the world, and used that as a way to hopefully be part of a social circle once you hit the ground in a particular local. I have done this myself.

In addition, there are tips on the RVF on how to meet local guys if you want to go that route.

Yes, Italians women may be harder to game than others (which I definitely believe; I suspect they are like the Argentinians), but with game and intelligence, as in most places, I surmise one can eventually figure out how to succeed with them.

Pipelining how? Well, I do not know what sites Italians use for online dating, but I am sure if you research it yourself you can find some. Moreover, for social game, I think Couchsurfing and other similar sites would be a good place to start. You can also use interpals.net to meet people from all over the world, and used that as a way to hopefully be part of a social circle once you hit the ground in a particular local. I have done this myself.

In addition, there are tips on the RVF on how to meet local guys if you want to go that route.

Yes, Italians women may be harder to game than others (which I definitely believe; I suspect they are like the Argentinians), but with game and intelligence, as in most places, I surmise one can eventually figure out how to succeed with them.

Eventually my friend is the key word. Been to Italy a couple of times and like Spanish, Greek and Argentinian girls they are very hard to crack. I hold these girls in high regard, in terms of looks, but I prefer to bang than to look....so for me Poland, Brazil, Colombia, DR, Ukraine, etc are better countries.

I'm contemplating a soirée to Italy. I speak Italian but I haven't been the country for a while.

I love Italian looking women, however I know they can be incredibly difficult.

I have been to Argentina and that was tough, even though I spoke the language.

Are Italian women in the same league in terms of difficulty? One night stands, how frequent are these?

I think I could do a 10 day stint tops.

Good advice Sabra, I don't know any tailors unfortunately however other hot spots for shopping high quality gear and italian brands (=expensive stuff) would be Corso Buenos Aires and Via Dante close to Duomo

I had it easier in Italy than I did in Spain and Portugal. I was in Milan and most women there don't have the stereotypical Italian looks, you are going to find those women more to the south. From what I have heard, the south has the more conservative kind of women that are tougher to bang.

Currently, I’m working in Milano and since the Datasheet is kinda old, I’ll give it a little update. Granted, I’ve only gotten here 2 months ago, so I’m no expert by any means.

Getting here:

Very easy. Milan has 3 international airports: Linate, Bergamo and Malpensa. Linate is the closest to the city (30min), while Bergamo and Malpensa are a bit further away (60min). Lots of cheap international flights to Spain, Germany, Russia, etc. since Easyjet, Germanwings and Ryanair operate here.

Prices:

Accommodation is expensive in Milano if you want to stay close to the centre. A small but nice apartment will cost you around 1000€/month. A hotel room in one of the better hotels about 70-150€/night.

Food in the supermarkets is not too expensive, but if you want to eat fancy stuff (which you should), it’ll get expensive. Vegetables are pretty cheap and very good.
One week of groceries including liquor and fancy stuff like Bresaola, Prosciutto San Daniele, old Parmeggiano and some good beef will cost you 70-100€.

One thing though, I haven’t been able to find oats here…

Aperitivo:

My favorite part of Milanese culture is the Aperitivo. Basically, every bar/ restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat menu from 7-9/10. You have to order one drink and then can proceed to eat as much as you like. I’ve been to several different spots and paid between 8€-12€ for one drink+food.

Food differs in quality as well as in quantity. Sometimes you would just get some antipasti, sandwiches and lunchmeats, while in some spots you get different kinds of pasta, salads or even sushi. It’s usually not top-shelf kinda food, but I never had shitty one neither. It’s Italy after all…

There are so many Aperitivo places that I won’t recommend one particular. Check out this website if you need some guidance.

More thoughts on food:

Well, I’ve never been to Italy before and haven’t been able to travel around the country so far, but the food is absolutely amazing. It’s supposed to be even better in the south, but so far, it lives up to the hype. I’m blown away by the different kinds of ham, salame, olive oils, acetos, etc.

The pizza here usually has a thick crust, like a focaccia with toppings. Not my style, but there are some places which serve pizza alla napolitana.

Definitely try Risotto alla milanesa, delicious…

Girls:

The level of talent is without any doubt the highest I’ve ever seen. Hardly any fat chicks and lots of real stunners in the streets. You can literally walk around the centre and spot a beautiful girl on almost every corner, no shit.
I mean, I’ve been to Argentina for a couple of months and thought that this would be heaven, but Milan is on another level. Thin, feminine girls how in heels everywhere. I think I would bang maybe 70% of the female population under 50 in Milan and I’m saying that only half-jokingly…even the older woman take care of themselves, it’s just ridiculous.

Clubs:

Rule of thumb: expensive with shit music, but full of belle fige in heels. Again, check this site to know whats up.

Game:

Language is definitely a problem. Most of the locals speak some English, but it gets frustrating quite quickly. I’m almost on a native level in Spanish and my Portuguese is decent so I’m picking up Italian rather easily, but it’s still an obstacle.
It took me 1.5 months to get my Italian flag and I consider my game to be pretty strong and myself to be good-looking (6’4’’ and athletic), so be prepared to put in the legwork. Good thing is that there are lots of expats…Anyhow, the girl was worth the effort…

To sum it up, Milan might be a bit tougher than other cities, but it’s possible to bang a modelesque Italiana if you work for it. Don’t believe the naysayers.

My company hooked me up with the apartment, so I didnt do any research, but just check airbnb. My favorite areas are Navigli and Sempione.
