STILLWATER, Okla. — A suspended Oklahoma State basketball player accused of sexually assaulting two women at a house party was convicted Monday night of sexual battery and rape by instrumentation, but jurors acquitted him on two other counts.

Darrell Williams broke down in tears as the verdicts were read, saying "Oh my Jesus God" as he bent over and banged his hands on the defense table. He then turned to the jury and yelled, "I didn't do it."

The outburst prompted Tontz (the Assistant District Attorney prosecuting Williams) to quickly move to the other side of prosecutors' table and cry as she clutched a sheriff's deputy. The prosecutor later said she felt intimidated.


The rest of the article goes on to state that there wasn't any evidence in the case. It was a "he said/she said" type of situation. The incident occurred at a party. No witnesses and nobody noticed anything wrong going on.

And it'll probably come out, after this guy has served his sentence that the two girls made it up or misidentified him.

What really happened ???

The white girls fooled around with this or some other black guy - they were all probably drunk.

Word later gets out that around campus that they fooled around with the black guy/......

the girls who no doubt have beta boyfriends and fathers come with the "I was raped" story to cover up the fact that they are sluts.

For when I'm out of the house, I use something like this watch.


I've never been accused of rape, but I'd rather not go to prison. As a last resort, filming without consent is less than rape. My plan would be to quash the rape claim and then say the girl also consented to being filmed, and hope the fact she lied about the first would mean people would believe she'd lied about the second. If possible, you should get them to say things on camera which would suggest that. Say something like "You like being my little porn star?" or something.

In your own home, just have a wireless security system.

I have been falsely accused of attempted rape on my campus and I was not the only black player on the football team to deal with that type of thing. The dynamic you describe (girl fears slut shaming, wants to save face, etc) is pretty much precisely what was at play. It is not rare, it is very real, and it is very dangerous to any young athlete.

This is not to say that whites are somehow immune to this dynamic-anyone with sense knows that the scope of the rape accusation isn't limited to just a single group of people.

That being said, there is an extra dynamic at play for black males, particularly the large and athletic ones. I tell the following to my younger peers any chance I get:

People fear you, and the social implications that come with hooking up with you for a white american girl are much greater and more dangerous than they are with others. The mere notion of a white girl having hooked up with someone that looks like you can get her all kinds of negative attention, the kind of attention that hurts her social status and gets her called all sorts of names by all sorts of people, many of whom are close to her (parents, siblings, close friends, etc). There are a lot of white american parents (many more than people seem to think) for whom the idea of a black male with their daughter is very much not welcome and/or simply not preferred, and many of their daughters are quite keenly aware of the price they'll pay for not respecting this.

We all know enough about women to understand that they very much value conformity and the approval of their peers (this is why pre-selection is such a powerful weapon for a guy). They will do anything to avoid this negative attention and remain in line with the herd, and stay in the good graces of their relatives.

If avoiding this means throwing the black male she voluntarily went to hook up with under the bus, then so be it. This is an effective strategy for her given common stereotypes-people are much more likely to believe her story since they'll naturally assume a guy who looks like this is capable of doing such a thing, and they'll be more likely to presume her innocence.

What does this mean for guys like this? One need not eliminate white american girls from consideration (even I haven't, and I have the history to justify doing so). Plenty of good relationships can be formed here, but one must approach them with some caution.

1. Get as much social proof from her trusted peers as you can. She'll feel like less of a slut if she knows her friends all approve of you (like I said, herd mentality-its hardwired, she can't help it). There will be less to regret in the morning when she knows all he friends think you're cool and you're associated with (or a part of) her wider social circle.

2. Do not get too tipsy around them at social gatherings (read: parties, clubs). Keep your wits about you. One super-drunken slip up can give her something to regret in the morning, and put her into cover-up mode, at which point you'll be very much at risk of ending up like this basketball player.

3. Stay the hell away from the drunk ones.
When they've got some liquor in them, many of the inhibitions disappear and they'll be more open about their attraction to you if its there, social stigmas be damned. Some of them will flat out jump you and initiate the hook up themselves. The girl who later tried to accuse me called me upstairs and led me to an empty frat room of her own accord-she knew what she wanted, and did most of the leg work to set it up.

These are precisely the ones who are most likely to regret it in the morning, when they wake up with their inhibitions intact once again and become aware of the fact that their actions could make them look like a whole bunch of bad things in the eyes of many ("mudsharks", "coal burners", just plain sluts and a lot of other unflattering terms).

Don't try to escalate much with these girls, and don't even attempt intercourse (oral or otherwise) while they're in that state (this will be easier if you've observed rule 2). Don't go beyond the makeout, and suggest moving forward later when she's sober. If she agrees and follows up another day, great. If she flakes and you never get a shot at her again, oh well-at least you still have your freedom and a future ahead of you.

That is more than Darrell Williams can say right now.

At what stage do you turn on the watch recording typically, since it only lasts 2 hrs? Can any lawyer type tell us if an audio recording will be enough? Maybe an audio watch would last a lot longer, since I can't imagine the video to be pointing the right direction most of the time.

I'm also sober on dates, and it causes girls to have at most 1 drink around me. Yeah it makes things slower, but everything is above board, it's cheaper and regret is far less likely.

I feel I should address this since I went into depth on the racial aspect here earlier.
I've been highly critical of black American women in the past, and for good reason: they do not respect or even really like black men in many cases, and often represent a poor ROI. They'll throw black men under the bus quite easily and often.

That being said, what my post should really make clear is that white American women are not the panacea some black men may think they are. There is a heightened danger and complexity for the black male escalating with the average white girl as opposed to the white male doing the same, and those guys need to know how to deal with it.

Stop with the intentional distraction and obfuscation of the issues.

Many a black man has been killed - that's right lynched on the basis of false rape accusations or alleged transgressions with white women: see Emmitt Till, Ida Wells Barnett.

The issue is not whether women in generak make false rape accusations, the issue is who tends to lose their life and or freedom on the basis of these false accusations.

Incredibly easy. You just push a button for a photo, push and hold for video.

Obviously it isn't like a full home security system, but if you can record yourself on a date, during sex and a few minutes after, chances are that is enough to prove no rape happened.

I agree with whoever said get pictures after of her smiling. Even better, ask her how good it was and record that.

The more evidence you get the better. Get text messages the morning after, etc.

Thus far, I've only taken it on dates and recorded those. If the opportunity presents itself, I'll always bring a girl back to my place, because then I have a wireless security system set up that I could say 'Oh, that is for burglars. I just forgot to switch it off,' avoiding (I'd hope) voyeurism laws. It can also capture the whole time she is there, with audio etc.

I imagine if I were at a girls place, I would use it like I said when I quoted the guy above - I have evidence of the date, I'd get evidence of consensual sex, and I'd switch it on right before I leave.

As a disclaimer, I'm not a lawyer, nor have I ever been anywhere close to being convicted, so who knows how any of this would go down in court. I'd always say the best defence against the rape accusation is to screen out drama girls in the first place.

Same thing happened with Patrice O'Neal (he grew up in Boston). He had to do time for alleged rape with a white lizard. I think his friends also hit that and they had a big mouth and that's when they triggered her guilt so she reported it.

My understanding of Patrice O'neal's case was that it was statutory. He was 16 and she was 15, and in Massachusetts it's a hard AOC of 16 (i.e. you have to be 16 to consent to sex, no exceptions). I don't know if she cried rape, but it wasn't like this case. In fact, he was able to serve his sentence during the summer so that it didn't interfere with school.

I'm sure that his skin color had something to do with it though. When I was close to 19, I was busted by the cops fucking a 15 year old in my car (statutory rape in NJ). They let me go and told me to not show my face in town anymore (I was more than several miles away from my hometown).
