Seriously, what is wrong with being the old guy in the club (40+).
1. Does it really matter what the other people in the club think of you?
2. What's the worst that can happen? You approach 20 women they all reject you and you go home - not so bad.
3. You may come across a particular woman who feels an attraction to you and act on it. You would never find out if you didn't go to the club in the first place.

So, what's the harm for a 40 year old guy to go to a large night club and attempt to pull?

There's no harm.

It's just a low probability play.

Pareto principle.

Don't spend 80% of your night on a place with a 20% payoff.

Old guy at the club may pull 1 in 5 times.

That same guy may pull 4 out of 5 times in a place suited to him - a hotel bar.

Find your Pareto.

No problem at all. Just gotta find the right type of club. Don't go to a college dive bar, go somewhere classier.

My experiences for night game and day game are basically the same: you approach enough women, most reject me but you do come across one out of every so many that you have a connection with.

Nothing wrong with it at all-but venue selection is important.

The best clubs for older guys have a wider age range-I don't bother to go in clubs where its all under 25.

The wider range clubs allow you to fit in better but still have younger women, some of whom are attracted to older guys

Strange question, are there no clubs that cater to the over 30s crowd where you are, if not there are always bars, especially on the last day of the week, you will get all sorts, and all ages going out for drinks after work. Also be careful your not being paranoid, if you dont look your age people will not even notice. mr XY seems to kill it in older crowd clubs and he is older than you, read some of his post for inspiration.

I don't think anyone here is going to think it's weird for going to a club on the hunt for some young ass. Your chances will be extremely low though so you should try better spots grandpa

I'm the old guy in the club in a few years but if i was rejected 20 times in a row i would feel pretty bad.
I go to clubs purely to pick up girls not because i like being in clubs. I guess i'm getting old.

Clubs are loud and dark who's going to know you're the old guy unless you look 60? Anyway clubs have always been a pain in the ass to pull out of so who cares. The last thing on my mind for the weekend is hitting the club. If it's close to whatever else I'm up to I'll breeze in but that's about it. Remember guys are programmed to go there to try and meet girls and that's all they know about live interaction so you have the worst white knights and cockblockers in you're entire area there and bitch shields up.

Unless it's a niche type club like at the casino or a gay bar that has the only dance floor in the area etc. If everyone knows its the hot club it's not the hot club. So, who cares.

Firstly, a lot of girls suck at estimating a mans age. People in general are. I remember being carded at a club in NY when I was around 34. A lot of people just suck at age recognition.

Secondly, if you're an older guy it's probably better to go upscale. Think James Bond, not the latest 20 something pick-up artist. If you are cheap you make life hard for yourself. As hard as it is for me, since I am fairly cheap myself (1/16th Scottish or something), I pay attention to people like GManifesto who aim high. Being an old bastard an be fine. But being a cheap old bastard is nothing to be proud of.

even if you're cheap you can still go to the nicer spots - just limit your alcohol intake to a couple drinks max. heck, if you're 40 you probably shouldnt be slamming down 7 drinks anyways

I am 48 and agree to an extent. You can go where the 30-somethings or gold diggers hang out, but I cant get it up for those types. I like to dance so most of my platonic female friends are in their 20s. Hanging out with a group like that can give you street credit and if you are lucky, one of girls is a good wing-women and will help you get laid.

At 33 I already feel like the "old Guy in the Club" at many Washington, DC area clubs & bars. Having to compete with college frat boys and their drunken, extremely loud behavior is a challenge indeed ( I used to be one myself) so a few years back I had to do some hard thinkin' after one too many night coming back home to my "left hand". Since turning 30 I have switched strictly to lounges and hotel bars...No point in wasting money at the next hot spot only to be ignored by barely 21 yr old chicks. I've realized one thing and that is that style and money only carries one so far, some chicks just don't like old guys and although I don't look bad they always ask me how old I am in a negative way. Thus my motto is "adjust and persevere"...Until turning 30 I never realized how fun hotel lounges could be and most importantly in a forsaken city like DC they even have better ratios and friendlier women than the clubs.

1. DC

2. 33 is young

3. You need to find the young girls that like older guys. They are the ones you couldn't date when you were 21. Because they were with older guys.

I'm 41 and pulling women at clubs here in their 20s. I've probably been going out to clubs for the past 25 years starting at all ages lol. It's basically the only place I've ever gamed women.....I don't day game or do online either.

As I get older it seems clubbing keeps getting better and better. Women overall here at clubs to me look hotter than in the 90s. Women are working out more than they did back then.

It's almost a game within a game to see how long I can keep up with these hot 20 somethings without being seen as that "old guy at the club" I've seen sometimes that women have openly avoided like the bubonic plague. Lol.

A lot of the time they approach me....sometimes they blatantly put my hands on their tits when we dance.

I don't have any special game words wise....I'm 6'5" and I tend to stand out. That's what works. Don't drink or do drugs. That helps me look youthful.

I don't think I'll ever stop going out to clubs. Addicted.

This is a thread from back in 2012, but still quite relevant so whatever.

I guess it depends on the city and overall culture too. In LA and NYC there absolutely are upscale lounges and hotel bars that are quite clearly where adults go to hook up, and the age range can be anywhere from mid-20s to 50s even. In LA I'm thinking spots in Beverly Hills and certain spots in Santa Monica and the South Bay. In NYC there are places in the Meatpacking where a late 30s+ person wouldn't feel out of place at all. Also SoHo/TriBeCa have some spots definitely geared towards the older crowd but that are still frequented by young, attractive women.

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned that things aren't as age segregated in SEA as in the West. Having spent a good number of years in India, I can say that in the upper echelons of society it's much the same as in SEA - people continue to party like crazy well into their 30s/40s and even in some cases their 50s. But they're typically super affluent, with plenty of maids/servants and free time.

Honestly though, past a certain age, like 45+, unless you look like George Clooney and/or have a wide social circle, your best bet is to take your money and fuck off to S. America or Asia, perhaps even Russia. I have a cousin in his early 40s that's independently wealthy, can barely get laid here in the US but travels extensively to S America and Thailand, livin' it up each time he visits...

Yep, definitely truth in this too. I think the older you get, the wider the acceptable age range becomes. At 33 this year, I've banged a dozen women all in the 18-26 age range. I take good care of myself so that helps me look younger, which also helps.
