@nomadicdude: You're a legend, man. That's some solid information. I intend dressing as a local , growing a beard, and learning the local tongue, but I'm not sure how daygaming in downtown Kabul would go down! lol

@Lothario: good advice on Islamabad.

As I mentioned before, I'm not going to pick up chicks. I've always had an interest in the country. Books like a Thousand Splendid Suns, Kandahar, and the Kite Runner, have really conjured up some pretty romantic images of the country for me. It's feel like an alien world offering extremes I'd like to experience. It's like North Korea, Saudi, Somalia, Congo, and Papua New Guinea. For me, they are the most exotic lands of all.
