Plenty of girls in the fashion industry think like that, they're just a lot less vocal. Ask them if they'd want fat girls wearing their own line of clothing and they'd answer "of course not!"

The author takes it a little too far personally, striving to stay at 100 lbs at 5'7" - those girls look great in fashionable threads, but not always that sexy. That'd be about 90% of American men. Blonde = virtual automatic +1 or even +2 here. Girls are well aware of this, which is why we see so any bottle/bleach blondes running around. Their sexual market value is consistently overinflated.
