Harris County prosecutors have filed three additional felony charges against former Spring Branch ISD teacher Kathryn "Camille" Murray, who is already dealing with sexual assault charges over a relationship she had with the same 15-year-old student.

The boy told his parents that he had sex with Murray, 29, three times before the February 11 incident Murray was originally charged with, according to court documents. The boy's parents said their son told them he had sex with Murray twice in her classroom at Memorial Middle School, and at a hotel on February 10, "the night a dance was held for eighth grade students" at the school. On that occasion, according to the court records, the boy's father dropped him off at the school for the dance, but he met Murray at a nearby church. She drove them to the hotel -- Murray had paid for the room in advance -- and they had sex. She then drove him to "the vicinity of the school," and he walked about 100 meters the rest of the way, according to the records.

A Spring Branch ISD police officer saw hotel security footage showing the couple entering and leaving the hotel together, the records say.

Kathryn Murray, who taught at Memorial Middle School, is charged with sexual assault of a child.

According to KPRC:

Detectives said the 15-year-old invited Murray over to his home while his parents were away on Feb. 11.

The 15-year-old's 12-year-old brother was also home. According to court documents, the 12-year-old found his brother in bed with Murray about 11:50 p.m.

Other reports indicate Murray talked about kissing the student with another teacher, who reported the conversation to authorities.

She had been teaching at Memorial -- where she was an alumna -- for three years.

The school district issued a statement on the case:

The safety of every SBISD student is our very highest priority. We are deeply shocked and outraged by this alleged conduct. We will never tolerate any teacher or other employee who takes advantage of and harms a student. This allegation, if true, represents a complete breach of the trust that our children and our community place in our educators every day. We are saddened by these allegations, and we are very concerned about the well-being of the student and his family.

Counselors were also sent to the school.

What all these stories tell me--and there are lots of them, as we all know--is this must happen a lot more than advertised. Every time one of these stories come out, hordes of dudes come out of the woodwork and say the same exact shit.

1. I would never have told anyone
2. My parents (especially dad) would have covered for me/her
3. He shouldn't have told his buddy
4. Where were these teachers when I was in school?
5. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Sure there's a fair share of white knights, but the consensus is that most guys--even much of beta population--would have kept it under wraps if it went down in their lives. Given all that, there must be a healthy number of kids who simply don't say shit. The story simply doesn't get out.

Kids are fucking their horny-ass teachers way more than we (meaning, society) realize.

This is most mens' fantasy, and I think it's cool the he banged a hot teacher etc.

But I don't like the power play of some woman in a higher position of power fucking around with some reluctant kid (if this is at all the case). I don't think it's cool if, for whatever reason, he didn't really want to do it, and was only going along with it because he thought that if he didn't, then it would affect his academic career.

Yes, he invited her over, but that might have been some kind of Stockholm syndrome thing.

Yeah its probably 10 to 1.

When I was in high school, any teacher who was attractive was repeatedly hit on by students, generally while the class was in session. In this context it was a way of dominating her. As I recall it seemed more effective that just general misbehaving, where the end result was some fat old teacher would send you to the principals.

More and more 20-something female teachers are getting busted doing this. I don't know what it is exactly - perhaps a generational thing, where this crop of teachers just has poorer impulse control than prior generations of teachers? Or is it that our attention-whoring society causes more people to TALK about what they're doing, and once the story reaches the wrong person the whistle gets blown? Or is it both?

I think the big increase in the last *decade* or so is due to technology mostly. It creates a paper trail of texts, and facebook messages plus when the story breaks in Podunk, Kansas, it ends up in The Daily Mail online. When you hear about these busts, it's because a parent reads his son's texts or something, or friends are emailing pics around or and it gets into someone else's hands. When things just circulated by word, adults were less likely to get wind of it.

Plus girls are spending more time single and slutting it up, leaving them more open to banging students.

I can remember when this teacher (Debra Lafave) got busted with a 14 year-old. It's interesting that you mention the text messaging because from what I recall, this woman's texts were on par with a 12 year-old's (plz! cum back ova!!! <3 ). This makes me think that there really is some kind of mental issue that exists with many of these women who hook up with their make students, like, they're still living in the mind of a child.
