A new book about Mick Jagger is about to drop titled, "Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Mick Jagger" by Christopher Andersen. Some excerpts were in the Sunday paper, and it provided insight into the hold Mick had on women, much of it due to how well he laid pipe. 50 and Lil' Kim must have done "Magic Stick" with 'ol Mick in mind! During the 1990 "Urban Jungle" tour, Eric Clapton was sporting a 23 year-old model named Carla Bruni (yes, the same woman that is married to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy). Clapton KNEW that if Mick got a look at her, it was ON. Mick had already tried to bang his then wife Pattie Boyd Harrison Clapton (who Clapton was famously fucking while SHE was still married to George Harrison). Clapton actually BEGGED, "Please Mick, not this one. I think I'm in love." Of course, Mick started banging her. When the rumors surrounding the tour became too loud, and were picked up by the press, Mick's wife, Jerry Hall, confronted Mick and demand that he stop. Mick simply got pissed and stormed off. Afraid that she had lost him, she wrote a letter apologizing to him!

"Oh, my darling Mick...I'm truly sorry I was jealous...you're all the matters to me in the world...Please don't take your love away. I want you to have your freedom and I don't mind if you fuck other girls. I'll do it with other girls and you too...I respect, admire, tust, need, and love you all through my being. I think you're a genious (sic)...I love to fuck you...I just want to be your #1 girl. I LOVE YOU. Your baby, Jerry."

To smooth things over, Mick bought her a $4 million house in London. Then in '92, the day after his daughter Georgia was born, he was on a plane to Thailand to spend time with Bruni! Jerry knew it, and even called there to ask who he was with. She intercepted a note from Bruni to Jagger that said, "I'll be your mistress forever." Even after calling Bruni, and confronting her in person at a Paris hotel when they were both there on modeling assignments, Bruni wouldn't stop seeing him, and Hall wouldn't divorce him. Bruni got so bold, that she bragged publicly that 48 year-old Mick was "her boyfriend," and that he was "incredible in bed. He is a wonderful lover - for an old man." When Mick felt Jerry was serious about divorcing him, he would chill for a while. During one of the cooling off periods with him and Bruni, she went into withdrawal:

"I thought I would never get over it. I used to wake up every morning in despair. I thought I would never fall in love with anyone else. When your heart is broken, you think the pain is never going to stop."

They were on-and-off for YEARS, along with dozens of other chicks Mick was banging. Jerry said that, "There's nothing more humiliating than loving him so much you can forgive his infidelities."

Face it...at any time Jerry could have divorced Mick, and she would have been fine. She could have gotten another high-profile and/or wealthy boyfriend or husband. She just couldn't give up the dick. It was so good she was willing to share it. Bruni, as we know, ended up married to the French President. Even while she was fucking Jagger, she had affairs with Crown Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, and Donald Trump, who was engaged to Marla Maples at the time. I remember hearing a similar story on the radio about Mackenzie Phillips, the daughter of the Mamas and the Papas guy, John Phillips. They were interviewing John on some talk radio one night and I heard the whole thing. Apparently, the dad caught Mick escorting Mackenzie into a room. P Dog, there are excerpts about his dalliance with Jolie. She actually turned the tables on Mick, in that he pursued, and she couldn't be bothered. Her mom, Marcheline Bertrand, actually tried to hook them up. She thought Mick would be good for her, in that he could teach her the ins and outs of fame, etc. He had cast her in a Stones video, right after she finished working on "Gia." Mick loved that she was kind of edgy - foul-mouthed, high-strung, moody, drug-abusing, tattoo, piercing and S&M loving. He chased her like a puppy! Leaving phone messages like, "Angelina, it's Mick. Will you please, please call me?" and "Miss Jolie, why aren't you returning my calls?" and "Angelina, I have to speak to you. Call me." At the time she was just separated from Jonny Lee Miller, so Mick cast him in a film called "Enigma" that he was producing, hoping it would draw her to the set! By this time, he was getting divorced from Jerry for real, and even with that going on, he bought Jolie a $5,000 pair of earrings. From the excerpts, there's no indication that he actually fucked her though. She continually turned down invitations to go here and there. He invited her to join the tour in Rio, but she turned that down because she was working on "Girl, Interrupted" which she ended up winning the Oscar for. That's also where he ended up getting the Brazilian chick, Luciana Morad, pregnant. During the same tour, Jerry had a son for him also back in London. He even used the Stones' drummer, Charlie Watts, to try to get her to join him. Jolie was taking up drumming as an outlet and therapy, so he offered lessons from Charlie to get her to come. No doubt. These are all men of somewhat equal stature. George Harrison was a former Beatle and legend. Eric Clapton was part of the greatest rock groups, as well as having a legendary solo career. The famous graffiti in London "Clapton is God" says it all. And Mick, part of one of the greatest rock groups in history. Some may sell more records that the other, but for the most part, they are equals, so there's really no competing in that arena. You have to find something else to compete for. Harrison gets his wife snatched by Clapton, then Clapton gets his hot girlfriend snatched by Jagger. And it doesn't help that these chicks are monkey-branching tricks. The Clapton/Jagger thing with Bruni was particularly ugly in that they were all still on the same tour together. Clapton had to see her with him EVERY DAY. This story has been making the rounds for a couple of decades at least. There was also an urban myth attached to this that Bowie had nut pumped out of his stomach. I don't doubt that Bowie was a switch hitter back in those days pre-Iman. And when rockers were drinking and drugging, all kinds of shit popped off. Some of them did chicks and dudes. She had unusual beauty and leveraged that to chase fame and status at all costs. The story of her early dating life is one of the purest manifestations of what we in the manosphere refer to as "cock carousel" riding that you can find in the celeb world. To quote a recent Vanity Fair article about her life:

Clapton caught feelings for just the wrong woman, which prevented him from doing any of that and instead saw him putting her up on a pedestal where she really didn't belong. The mere hint of her even thinking of sleeping with his bandmate should have been enough for him to have moved on and gotten ready to completely discard her. Given her behavior and his options (he could easily find another attractive woman with more loyalty), there was no other choice-he needed to see her for what she was (an aggressive status seeker with no intention of becoming "the good girlfriend/wifey"), not what he wanted her to be (his queen).

Instead, he grovelled and begged another male to help him out and leave a beautiful, willing woman on the table, essentially putting his heart in Mick Jagger's hands.
This behavior, which can best be described as "simping", ensured that things would end particularly badly for Clapton since human males have not evolved to guard one another's hearts. Mick Jagger just did what any alpha male would do in his position. It was dishonorable, but, as xsplat noted, the mating game is not about honor.

It wasn't up to Mick to protect Eric's heart after he'd let himself catch feelings for a polyamorous seductress. Clapton needed to look out for himself and realize the nature of the woman he had. Absent that, all is fair in love and war.

You've explained that very well. I guess at the time Clapton still had the luxury of innocence. Carla must have been a hell of a fuck. People can get very attached to good lovers. And yes, while for Clapton women must surely have come easily, unfortunately good lovers are a rarity. You are correct that catching feelings is a serious risk - and at the top level of fucking it's a very high risk. It's nearly a certainty.

Really perhaps there was no good outcome possible. Carla was fire, and playing with her was to get burned. But she must have been irresistible.

You advocate for being strong enough to not get too attached. That really only comes from experience though, doesn't it? The exact kind of experience that Clapton went through.

Honestly I wonder how many times Jagger has gotten his ass kicked. Some people just deserve an ass kicking and it sounds like he's one of them. I'm guessing in their world perhaps the rules are a little different. Or maybe there aren't any rules at all. Maybe any man's wife, girlfriend or daughter is fair game in their circles. We've all either known or heard of that guy that you can't leave your girl alone with. If you go to the bathroom, he's sliding in trying to give her his number. I just thought it odd that Clapton, who poached another man's wife, would beg another man not to make a play for his girlfriend. I thought it was even MORE strange that John Phillips didn't break down the door when he knew Mick was in the room fucking his daughter. What each did was the equivalent of when in the animal kingdom beta males roll over and show their bellies to the dominant male in the group - submitting. The moment Clapton did that, he was done. Not to mention that in his position he'd be expected to have legal and bodyguard resources. Can you really just kick Mick Jaggers ass to teach him a jolly good lesson? I'd think it's not so simple.
