Need Help Finding A Plane Ticket!
Does anyone know where I can find a cheap ticket from Brazil (Prefferably Rio) to the US? The sites I'm finding want something like $759 to Miami, and I still have to make it back to Vegas after that. It cost me $400 to get here and I thought that was a rip off! When I saw that $750 flight, I couldn't believe it. That's more than $250 that I thought it would be. That's at least another week in Brazil. Please, if anyone has a good company or webiste to check out let me know. I'm looking to come back maybe somewhere around the 20th-27 of Jan. Thanks!

Or even some advise. Do you think the prices might drop between now and then?

Kayak.com is my fav site for finding plane tickets. They have a calendar feature that lets you easily browse which dates are the cheapest to fly. Make sure you fly on a tuesday or wednesday, it's always the cheapest option.

Yeah, kayak is looking pretty expensive. It's looking like my best bet is to fly into Miami and then Vegas. I think it was around $700 for tickets from kayak.

Its really just a matter of plugging in the dates on all of the airline websites that fly from the airport and being creative. It would make sense to check on flights that fly to the U.S. But if that still does not get a cheap flight then start experimenting with flights to other location in Latin America and then a another to the U.S. Even then you can check out other destination in Latin America. For instance, maybe you would want to fly to a hub like Lima and then book another flight from Lima to the U.S.

But from the Rio Airport you can fly to:
American Airlines Miami, New York-JFK
Continental Airlines Houston-Intercontinental
Delta Air Lines Atlanta
United Airlines Washington-Dulles
US Airways Charlotte

Dude, I just checked and you weren't kidding! I have no idea why flights between Rio and the U.S. are so expensive at that time. It looks like if you can hold off till early February, prices dip a bit.

Man, I've been doing all the combinations of flights from various places I can. It's ridiculously expensive right now. I know there are places you can find better deals though, I just don't know where. My friend got a flight from Miami to Colombia for $99. There has to be cheaper flights than $800.

I was looking at tickets to Rio round trip a couple months before I booked my flight here, and the tickets were around $600 round trip, and you had to book within 3 weeks of the flight. A month later tickets were $1200. Traveling is awesome, but getting place to place sucks.
