Every time a new soccer championship is about to begin in Brazil the league organizes a beauty contest to select a ‘Gata’ (a Miss) to groom the event. Early this year, the São Paulo State Football Federation organized the ‘Gata do Paulistão’ contest for the upcoming Campeonato Paulista (São Paulo Soccer Cup). The winner was model Lorena Bueri. The Cup was held from January to April of this year, and for a third time in a row was won by soccer club Santos lead by the Brazilian national sensation striker Neymar. Although Lorena is a fan for another club (Bragantino) she decided to take her iPhone and tape herself doing a sensual dancing in her bedroom, and then to post the video in the Internet to congratulate Club Santos, but also its main star, Neymar. Such an action says volumes about her fair game sport spirit (check out the first video). If you wonder why Lorena is the ‘Gata do Paulistão’, you can check out the second video. From 2:45 to 3:10 she makes her stunning performance on the bathing suit competition. Unlike the rest of the contestants, she shows up wearing a silk robe and makes a first round on the runway; then, in a blink, she takes her robe away, showing off her stunning body in the very eyes of José Maria Marin, the current president of the Brazilian Football Confederation. The guy, age 80, former governor of São Paulo, and involved in many scandals, gets stunned and on the verge of a heart attack (the girl obviously knows who the alpha male on place is). The move worked and some minutes later she’s crowned ‘Gata do Paulistão’, while she begins to celebrate like a little girl (from 4:25 to 4:31). Since then, Lorena has been on Brazil’s Playboy and the cover of every Brazilian fashion magazine, TV shows, etc. I hope NFL’s Commissioner Roger Goodell is already taking some notes to introduce some changes in the ‘No Fun League’. Oh, sorry, I forgot that NFL likes to play political correctness big time and so dedicates a whole month to the Fighting of Breast Cancer Campaign, forcing players and coaches to wear pink shoes, pink towels, pink caps and all kind of pink stuff.

I thought it was funny when they asked her what she is going to do with the R$10,000 that she won. Her answer was something like, "I'm gonna pay my bills. You guys have no idea how much women spend at salons, on hair and to maintain a body *nervous laugh*."
