I've done both Floripa and Punta so I can give you a comparison.

Punta has a lot of the models and lots of models from Brazil. However, it has clubs that are ridiculously hard to get into. For example, the top club during New Years Eve - they wanted $1000.

You have some serious money rolling around there. Prof soccer players and models.

I was able to do damage with a) Uruguayans - not top tier - maybe 7 - Uruguayan people are much more friendly than Argies
b) Paraguayan - girl who works at casino or hotel

The model scene was out of my league. It is incredibly snobby and those girls couldn't care less that you're from the U.S.

The beach is nice, water is cold but I never really thought that the nightlife was off the hook. A lot of posers but not really a wild party vibe.

You should also remember that some hotels in Punta do not allow guests. My hotel did not and I either had to bribe the guy or promise not to do it again in order to bring the girl back to my room.

Floripa is a nicer town. It's bigger, more spread out and it's an actual city (not just a resort destination). The beaches are the same in both Floripa and Punta.

If you go to Jurere it will be similar to Punta. I didn't have any luck with the high rolling Brazilian model types. As a matter of fact I thought it was more difficult than most cities I've been to.

However, Floripa also has a middle class and some middle class people from Sao Paulo or Porto Alegre who are on vacation so you can focus on them. That means going to pub like rock bars rather than the fancy clubs.

It can be expensive but probably not as expensive as Punta. Going to the best clubs in Floripa might cost $30 or $60 for a special DJ.

My niche with Brazilians are middle class girls. I find the rich chicks to be snobby as hell.

The next time I go to Brazil I will focus on a second tier city with a high volume of middle class girls. Belo Horizante or Goania.

The sun, the beach and the surf will be similar as both cities are so close to one another. The women will be comparable and you will have lots of 9's to choose from. However, I'd choose Floripa b/c if you strike out with the snobby 9's you can always downgrade to the middle class girls.

Correct. You will be surrounded by HB 9 and 10's all over the place - not that it matters if you are not pulling up to the hottest club with Diddy or Enrique Iglesias in their private yachts.

So, If you do not own a private yacht, play for a European soccer team earning 5 million Euros a year -you may not have such a good time in PDE in January. As you will find yourself jerking off to the girls you saw, more than actually bangin them.

I really want to emphasize when you have money in South America you have insane money. In a lot of Latin countries there are 10-20 families that control the whole country.

So after watching that video do you think that they care that you're an exotic gringo or European?

Both places are filled with people drinking Chandon champagne, spending daddy's money and socializing with guys that are known quantities because you know his family is rich and powerful.

I think Roosh mentioned it previously - if you see champagne go elsewhere.

Spent about 8 days in Montevideo a couple of weeks back, so just thought I´d give my overall impressions of the place.

The city:

It´s by far the largest city in Uruguay, with a population of over one million, I was told that half of Uruguay´s population live here. You can reach Montevideo on a ferry from Buenos Aires (one goes direct, the other goes to Colonia, and you then take bus from there) I think both journeys last about 3 hours in total. It´s one of the coolest capital cities I´ve been to, with a very laid back vibe. The people are very friendly and english is widely-spoken, especially by the younger generations. When we were there 1 euro was equal to 28 uruguayan pesos. It is an easy city to navigate around, and has a very efficient and cheap public bus service that runs 24 hours a day. The supermarkets are very reasonably priced, especially the beef steaks, they´re about 3 times the quality of the steaks I came across anywhere in Argentina (BA, Cordoba, Salta) and you could easily get one piece to feed 2 people for about 3 euro (about 5 US dollars?).

Where to stay:

We stayed a hostel in Pocitos (tried to get an apt there but it fell through at the last minute). It is an upscale beach neighbourhood situated right on the beach (Playa Pocitos). I was there in mid-april so the weather wasnt that hot but I´d imagine that during the summer the beach is packed. There are a lot of younger people living in the area, and a walk along the beach promenade in the evening will give you plenty of opportunities to check out and approach the local talent, they all come here in the evening to drink that matte drink with their friends. So, if you´re visiting Montevideo you should stay here.

Nightlife:

Went out 4 nights when I was here, Thurday, Friday, Saturday and Tuesday. The nightlife seemed to be split into 3 main parts:

Ciudad Vieja:

This is the old-town, down near the port and most of the bars/clubs are centred along Bartholomew Mitre. We were here on a friday night, and it was very busy. There are plenty of people drinking along the side of the street in beer gardens, if this doesn´t suit you there are bars and a couple of clubs to go into to.

Parque Rodo:

Situated about a 15 minute walk from Pocitos there are about 5 or 6 bars/clubs all closely packed together here. The main ones I remember were the W lounge, El Club, OPA, and El Horno. This is were I saw the highest concentration of girls. However this is also were I found the highest concentration of young girls, very young like 16-19 years old, and they look much older so it´s hard to tell. El Club on a thursday had a college crowd so th girls were a bit older here, I would definitely recommend going here if you are there on a thursday.

Avda Dr. Luis Alberto de Herrera

Went here on a thursday, there are plenty of bars along this street, not too far from the Montevideo shopping centre. This place was recommended to us by the receptionist in our hostel. Didn´t think much of it, it was full of big groups of people with a higher % of men than women. The coupe of approaches we made were quickly blocked by the males in the group so we cut our losses and went to El Club, as mentioned above. We weren´t there on either friday or saturday so perhaps it´s better on these nights.

The girls:

Rio aside, I saw by far the highest concentration of hot girls here, I was shocked by it. (I haven´t been to Colombia yet) But I personally thought there were more attractive girls here than in Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, or Cordoba. Others might´t agree but this is just what I thought, and my 3 friends agreed. The girls are very approachable and very friendly, and there are very few tourists here so they will be very intrigued by where you´re from, why you´re there etc. None of us can really speak spanish so we just rolled out our couple of spanish openers then quickly switched to english, generally at least one girl in a group will have pretty good english. We´re Irish so after seeing a bit of sun you wouldn´t really stand out as a foreigner when you´re in a darkened nightclub or bar, so approach like a mad man. We used to bring our driver´s licences out with us as some girls wouldn´t believe that we weren´t from Uruguay. Making friends with the guys will help as well, in Parque Rodo the guys would make a genuine effort to help us pull. One lad stood with us and stopped every girl who walked past us and told them we were Irish, and he couldn´t speak english!

Be warned though that kissing a stranger inside the nightclub didn´t seem that popular, so just step outside for some "fresh air", or say it´s "too loud", or even just a cigarette if you smoke.

If you go to the Montevideo Shopping Centre during the during the say you will see a ridiculous amount of attractive women, all ages. So if you want to approach during the day just ask "Do you know where such and such a place is" in broken spanish if you have it, but then switch to English (they´ll be much more intrigued). Seriously, even the girls that worked in McDonalds here were fit.

Football:

Even if you´re not into football, try get to a game or two here. The 2 main clubs in Montevideo are Club Nacional de Montevideo and Penerol. We went to a Nacional game and a Penerol game. The standard is pretty bad but the fans are lunatics, just go for the atmosphere alone. Tickets are cheap and can easily be bought at the stadium on the day of the game.

Tuesday:

Went to La Ronda Cafe on the advice of Lumiere (thanks mate). It´s on Ciudadela in Ciudad Vieja, and seemed to be the only busy place that night. The crowd is that bit older as well. Got talking to a college professor here and was on my way to a sleazy hotel aorund the corner after 5 minutes of speaking to her, definitely worth a visit.

Overall I thought it was a great little city, plenty to do both during the day and at night, with great food and friendly locals. I´m already thinking of coming back here to learn spanish in a year or 2. So if you´re in BA I´d suggest you take the short ferry ride over, I don´t think you´ll be disappointed.

Came to azabache cafe; it's salsa night
It's packed. 200-400 ppl. Most people are around the median of 21-71. I prefer younger girls so only about 3 girls here I would even bang. Saw much hotter girls out in the day time.

Came to parque rodo. W lounge is gone, but in its place it is Volvē Mi Negra. I think age limit is 18. They had some special event so they were at capacity when I got there at 1. You could see LOADS of young beautiful girls up on the roof.
So I went back north to Lola. It was small but everyone was very friendly and smiling. Everyone was drinking giant beers. Fun funk music had everyone dancing by the DJ. I also saw many people making out in here, which I read wasn't common in many bars here. At least 20 cute girls in there.

Ok, my montevideo trip is over, here's everything I did and learned.

SUMMARY OF NIGHTLIFE:
Parque rodo area is best:
Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat: Lola
Thursday/Fri/sat: Jackson Bar (arrive before 12 to get in), volvē mi negra, ,doña marta, Después Te Explico, Mona, Il tempo (gay bar?)

MY EXPERIENCE:
Friday:
Came to Bartolomé Mitre @ 2am. There's a group of small free entry clubs around el pony pisador. The quality was STRIKINGLY lower than what I saw in parque rodo yesterday. Didn't see anything above a 6. Guy to girl ratio was atrocious. Down by la Ronda there was a bar called Bluzz that was full at 3am, but still a ton of dudes and none of those super fine girls i saw last night.
Ubered for $3 to volvē mi negra. It wasn't the Sea of young girls like yesterday, but MUCHO better. Plenty of work to be done. Still an older crowd but these girls are all in shape. Also a small bar next door with a few girlsl. at 4:30am went to Lola. They were still letting ppl in at 5. There were a ton of people sitting out in the street because Después Te Explico across the street was packed too. Jackson Bar down the street must have been the main party because there was a huge line of taxis at 6am. This is definitely the younger party part of town. I would NEVER go back to Bartolomé.

Saturday: came to Mercado Del for day game as recommended. I got there at 5:30pm and I guess that was too late. All the restaurants were putting up their chairs and cleaning the floors. I don't get how these ppl party till 7am then get up to go shopping at noon??
Came to pocitos in the evening and asked people at the beach and hostel if there are any clubs in pocitos. Many people I asked confirmed most the clubs in pocitos are gone. The only busy place I found in the vicinity was Montevideo beer company where ppl were all sitting at tables outdoors. (Apparently there is one club near Montevideo shopping center that has electronic music sometimes) So parque rodo definitely is the hot spot in town now.
Saturday night:
Came to Jackson Bar at 2am. There were over 100 people in a semi circle trying to get in. It's only open on Fri/Sat and judging from the hot young girls in line I'd guess there's no age limit or maybe 18+. It's salsa/reggaeton etc. Talked to girls outside for 45 min until the bouncers finally told us all no one was getting in. So we went to Después Te Explico. Extremely dark and crowded & pretty small. Super hard to go verbal game but if you're good at Latin dancing there def plenty of cuties to hit on. Then girls took me to doña marta down the street. It was exactly the same as Despues (dark /packed/latin music) but the girls seemed younger. That was probably the hottest girls I saw other than the semi-circle around jackson bar. And girls were getting drunk; sets were opening very easily.
I Walked by Lola too & there were super cute girls out smoking. So that place seems a safe bet Thurs/Fri/sat

Sunday: Crazy rain storm so didn't go out during day. At 2am there wasn't a soul in sight or anything open at Parque Rodo.

Monday: bar rodo on españa was open. Just a hand full of dudes eating/drinking at tables and a couple girls sprinkled in. No girl only tables. Found a big carnival performance that ended at 1:30. Saturday: came to Mona, ( also in parque rodo). Was same format: dark, Latin music, crowded, tons of cute young girls

As mentioned by others, random hookups don't seem to be OK here. Making out in the club seemed quite common though.

Side tip #1: getting a Brazil visa in Montevideo is ULTRA easy. Never waited more than 5 min in line at consulate. Dropped off passport Friday, got visa Monday $205 total.
tip #2: $10, 24hour "rented" ticket from flyonward.com worked like a charm again to prove outbound travel from Brazil. (Also worked for Russian visa)
tip #3: Parque hostel is cheap, right in the middle of all the good bars, and no one in the office after 11pm so you can bring in girls and bang em in the bathroom/kitchen/awesome rooftop
tip #4: Google maps doesn't work for bus schedules here. You have to download an app called moovit which has the same function. I was absolutely dying here the first week until some girl showed me moovit (also works in tons of other cities).
#5 everyone said February is the worst time to come. From Christmas thru January there are great parties, but the carnival in February is for older people or thieves.
