fast way to do it is, not surprisingly, by knowing girls..
+ by meeting girls you get into their social circles where you meet guys.
+ by going out with girls other guys are more open to meet you, bouncers are friendlier, door selectors welcome you and other random dudes in venues want to be nice to you to get closer to your girls.

you connect with guys by talking about sport, beer, girls, cars and working out. that's all.

playing together in sport teams or by talking about weightlifting at gym is also good. but hot girls is always the best bet

Yup. Everyone mentioned sports because its true. Most of my adult friends revolve around sports and after-game drinking (as well as work). The additional thing about hanging out with other men and sports is that sports qualifies dudes. You know who's all talk, and who delivers. You know who's selfish or unselfish, and who's got your back. All those characteristics displayed during games is what you'll get as a friend.

Resuming, im more interested in getting to know people that bring value to my life then guys who are bringing fun.

Plus i am an international playboy, i dont stay around a lot, most of these cats dont even have money to go to a local nightclub, i cant see them keeping up with being my friends, they can't afford my lifestyle (i am talking mainly travelling here).

Pitt, excactly how do you maintain this international playboy lifestyle. I'm only 20 and I so badly want to travel.

OK here's a deal that makes shit tough for me, want to see if anyone has any suggestions. I can't drink. I have major substance abuse problems. If I start to drink after a bout of sobriety, within 2 months I'll have burned all my bridges, spent all my cash and probably be arrested in a complete trajectory of a downward spiral.

It's weird to be the only guy who goes out after work/sports and NOT drink. Fuck dude.

I am not living big like other guys on here. You should ask guys who are making more than 100k per year. Check out the lifestyle subforum, there is tons of information on how you can make money long term. I wish this forum existed when i was 20, there is so much info on here, if you use it wisely, you should be doing fine in few years.

OK, another question, let's say I'm not a guy interested in talking about sports (I like playing em, even though I suck), but I just can't really develop 'feelings' to follow a sport.

Football is huge in the south. I know the scores the next day, but I have little interest in watching it.

How do I adapt myself to actually learning more & liking football/baseball/bball? Cause right now all I see is numerical stats on a page that I'm supposed to memorize. How do I inject emotion into this shit?

Pro sports are no fun if you have no one to root for.

Start watching even if its boring, and eventually once you know enough, find teams and players to root for. You wont have to really--if you watch long enough you find teams and players you like more than others. Or you live in a city where there is a team.

Thats why people who hate watching most professional soccer can still care about the Euro and World cups. They have teams they can root for. The same goes for the Olympics, where most of the sports are extremely unpopular.

My advice is become an amateur bartender. You're not allowed to drink while on duty. Everyone knows that. So you'll go under the radar.

Other option is bring your own Vitamin Water or shit and drink only that (even if you just keep refilling the same bottles at the tap over and over again at home). If people ask you, it's part of your work out routine/training/ cleanse. You're no longer the guy with an alcohol problem, you're now the guy who's way serious about his body. People respect that.

I like to dance... a ton. In fact i dance alone when i feel like practicing, because you know what i enjoy it. If someone "hates on me for this" NEXT if someone has no opinion? Great still a possible friend. If they do enjoy it well boom 1 thing in common!

The difficult thing is as the USA continues more people are going to be angling for things, more people are going to be "suspicious". I'm the reverse I give everyone a "until proven guilty" effect. So if i like someone's personality i'll reach out if i don't i won't. Simple.

No one should have time to stay around people they dislike.

Regarding keeping old friends,often times both of the people think that the other person doesn't really care about them and nobody takes the initiative to contact the other.I'd suggest trying to bring life to your friendship,if the other person doesn't respond,move on.

EDIT:For making new friends I'd also suggest finding commonalities and meeting that person in other context.For example you become friends with somebody on your football team,then suggest meeting for something unrelated that you both like doing,so that you become more than couple of guys who play(ed) in the same team.
