He is the same age or so as my uncle. Back in the day you could rifle off degrees in two years for only about a grand or two if that. Or they had true full scholarships where you could get the schooling for free. My uncle has about 16 I think minus the few "honorary" ones he has received. He literally has almost been in school non stop since after the war in Nigeria.

I give props to this guy because he is living proof of how the old model used to work. People would sometimes choose to be life long students and just contribute by teaching, doing research, or inventing shit. School is just a money grab now and makes it difficult to do this now days.

Even though this guy had more of a rush of competition and finishing the goal versus my uncle whom actually wanted to learn and research everything he studied and still was a maniac about grades.

My uncle is the smartest man I know. Dudes knows EVREYTHING. From heavy science and math, to history, philosophy, to fuking latin and shit dude has studied it all.

Dude sparks blunts too. He's a great man.

I'd love to live like that. 100% addicted to learning. Hmm, how can I get paid for being a lifelong student, I wonder.

College degrees got more expensive because eventually the do-gooders decided that "everybody" has to have one. So, they created programs to make sure everybody could pay for them. In that type of system, there is no incentive to control your costs.

There's book knowledge and street knowledge. What you learn in school doesn't always apply in the real world. School is meant as an introduction. A small taste to see where your interests are so you can find your direction or calling in life.

I've seen so many people drop out or change majors while in college. It's crazy. I picked my major and saw it through to the end. Then tried a few related fields a few years at a time. I found out what I liked and didn't like and slowly fine tuned my direction over time.

Now I enjoy what I do for a living. I make good money. I travel sporadically for work and pleasure. When you enjoy it it doesn't feel like work. It's more like you're entertaining yourself while making money. And that passion shines through.
