ive been using my 16gb ipod touch for this for ages but it can be sketchy

now i use int'l BBMing on my blackberry

DO NOT BUY THIS THING!



It's the Motorola 9505. The company is called Iridium. I got it for my boat.

It was $1500 and you have to buy $250 worth of prepaid service. It deducts $1.10 per minute from the prepaid card.

The funny thing is the people you call's lines are always busy. I called my freaking self on my regular cell phone and it was busy. The phone was right there next to me.

It does work anywhere in the world though.

Ha. I know that company.

They were shooting satellites up into space back in the late 90's.

Burned through mad venture cap cash too.

I didn't know they were still around.
