Lebanon is on my list for many different reasons. A few questions on the ground:

- Is English prevalent? I know that Liban is in the Franc zone, so I am assuming that French is the predominant language of communication.

- Any travel tips on the basics like food, any vaccinations before getting out there?

On a related note, I'll be spending some time at the American University of Beirut and possibly heading up to Tripoli. The gaming options open up at AUB, but I really want to get some research work done (no joke). I wonder how a half-persian, half-paki yet American cat will treated there. Pops already warned me not to mess with hezbollah

Most people speak english over French and their currency is permanently pegged to the USA dollar. You can bring US dollars there as they take those as well and prices are posted in $ and Lebanese Currency. You can even receive US dollars from the ATM machines there.

Israeli girls are easier as there are more liberal oriented females there in the big cities (those of european decent) than in Beirut (those of christian decent, avoid Muslim/Druze women as they can bring you trouble due to family/conservatism issues unless they have grown up abroad in a western country).
Both countries are worth a visit and if I were you I'd visit Syria (though more conservative) and Cyprus (amazing topless beaches filled with drunk brits) too.

Uh, why not read about the countries first. More Lebanese in Brazil than in Lebanon. Lebanese and Jews dominate much of the country. The areas of Sao Paulo I have been to (the nice areas) are crawling with Lebanese and Jews. Brazil is not what the guys on this board want to believe it is.

Yep, about 8% of Brazil is Lebanese. The Brazil I see is mostly Italian (mostly Northern Italians), Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Lebanese when you break it down. Lots of Polish, Ukraines, and Dutch as well. I see few black and mixed people. Mostly just the above groups. I read this board and swear most are talking about a place I have never been to.

Ive been to israel about 40 or so times for work.... the taxi drivers will tell you you can fuck a girl the first night if not, second night fucky fucky (in one taxi words) Israeli women are smoking hot body wise, most have a bit of a nose, but the diversity and amazing med body more then makes up for it. When I was trying, I would score a SNL about 50% of the time. Its quite easy if you have good game, girls love the fact that I was from NYC.

My latin buddy and I would clean up as well, so they do like latin guys, and absolutely go nuts for latin girls (I know my last trip there I met up with my latina FWB who was there on vacation.) Nothing like american Jewish women I have seen. Im not jewish and it was never a problem, tho a few times they would ask, I got the feeling I was ok to fuck but that was the sign that I was JUST going to be a fuck

My cousin was a teacher for a couple of years in Beirut, she loved it. She stayed even when all foreigners were highly recommended to leave when Lebinon and Israel went to war. She said the place was amazing, but then again she is a little older (Than me at least, maybe 35-40), and not really sure if her idea of a good time is the same as most of our ideas of a good time. But she also grew up in a very liberal family, her parents are 65 year old, very successful hippies that still smoke pot, her mom's Danish. I don't know her real well since there's such a huge age gap, but she seems cool. She does like to travel and has been all over the world and speaks all sorts of languages. She hasn't lived in the US for around 10 years other than 6 months here and there. I do know that it's one of the more liberal countries in the middle east.

Went to Beirut for a friends wedding last year. Club scene is amazing. Imagine ferraris and porsches parked on the street openly. Girls are tougher to approach in the high end places - they all generally come with dude friends. Skybar is one of the best, same poon scene but some of my boys were actually trying to game girls - they suck at it but a baller could have possibly closed. They seemed pretty conservative though.
