I am also curious about this. Not because I am trying to challenge you or disprove you. I am genuinely curious from a sociological research standpoint. I know its hard to believe some of the stuff G writes about. It is outside of the "mainstream" perspective. Maybe you have never met or experienced someone like that. Someone who operates outside of the traditional "9-5" paradigm. It can be hard to believe at first, especially I you have never met anyone like that. I grew up in San Francisco, we attract many "outliers", "outcasts", and "non-traditionalists". We see a greater mix between the "underworld" and the mainstream world. I know many guys like G. Though, most of them fail.
Maybe all of this is new to you. You have have never seen or heard of people living like this. It is a new reality for you. It can be hard to wrap your head around at first. I understand that.
Ironically, I hope my children are like you. Sheltered from the harsh realities of life. I hope that they are so comfortable and well off that they even doubt the existence of any type of underworld. I hope they never see it. I hope they are, as they say in the counter-culture, squares.
But, again, out of curiosity...
Are you from a big city or small town? Did you grow up rich, poor, or middle class?
I'm not even trying to defend or help G. This stuff is just interesting to me. I consider myself an urban anthropologist. I grew up poor in the big city and many times people don't believe me when I describe my life. I just like to understand other peoples perspective.
Yeah, I have always wondered as well.
But you will notice that these guys always clam up when asked questions.
It's one of the world's great mysteries.

Grew up with gorillas, you grew up on Twitter, don’t care if you follow me.
"Can't be like the rest", is the most I'll confess.
