Your idea of falling in love sounds like what a 12 yr old would say. But just for the sake of it I'll go in to it. Have you ever fallen in love with someone before you didn't at least have some idea of what she does for a living (or will do if she's still in college/school) or what socio economic class she belongs to?

Also he didn't say you should only marry/knock up women who are considerably richer. He basically said you shouldn't marry/knock up women that are considerably poorer.

Most fathers aren't capable of delivering this level of sobering, borderline soul crushing insight.

If every best man gave the groom this letter the day after he was asked to be the best man, we'd have a lot less divorces. Some may lose friends along the way but so what, collateral damage.
