A Brazilian ball girl whose rapid reactions set up her football team's championship first goal has got a deal with Playboy. Fernanda Maia, 22, sprung to fame when she was caught on camera playing a key part in Botafogo's first goal against its Taça Río rival Vasco da Gama. Botafogo started a counterstrike in its own field when an opposition defender cleared the ball into the stands to give his team some breathing space. But, unluckily for Vasco, Maia was standing on the touchline and, with lightning reflexes, threw a replacement ball back in to restart her team's attack almost immediately. Botafogo’s Maicosuel slid the ball to Uruguayan striker Sebastián 'El Loco' Abreu (Sebastián, the ‘Mad Man’ Abreu), who scored the first goal. Botafogo beat Vasco 3 to 1, and became Champion.
