It would be the 1% in the US, - in DR this house is the 0.01%. It would make sense to hire a full time chef as well, they only cost around $200-$250 per month here (~$80 per person), and would significantly lower the monthly food bill. The house has 2 full kitchens btw. While it's an upscale area, within a few minutes walk you can still find colmados, blaring music and all that, real Dominicana, although a bit less in your face.

Fuck, a grand/month is dirt even if you are sharing the place with some other guys. It's big enough so it's not like you would be all up in each others shit all the time.

I think you can spend weeks there without seeing each other. it may actually be 8 bedrooms, I am just not sure. Ideal opportunity for someone who can work remotely, for a fraction of what it'd cost in the US. The caliber of talent you can pull off with this place is off the charts.
The beach, if you need it, is an hour and a half away too.

The map below shows the house and surrounding area, within the yellow border line. The pool area (unfilled so it's white on the image) is on the right side, just below the small pool house building. The basketball court is in the bottom left corner of the lot.

Great idea. You could also rent out the empty rooms to forum members who are visiting Santiago for few days or weeks.

I'd like to stay there a couple months next year.

Looks good!.. I'm in Colombia at the moment but plan to be in the DR for 6 months starting from November...would be cool if this was an option by that time.

Definitely. We'll have no problems renting out spare rooms to members but we want to have 3 permanents in the house in order not to be dependent on additional income which may or may not happen. In lieu of the 3rd permanent member we'd probably be ok with the advance booking of at least 12 monthly blocks, given we get 50% non-refundable (but transferrable) deposit in advance pronto. If we get preliminary requests for the 12 blocks, we'll move forward on it and work out all the details.

So, a commitment to 1 monthly block backed up by $500 gets you in, the second half is due a month before the arrival date. Let me know.

Guys,
This looks like a killer deal! I'd be very interested in staying for a short while (1-2 weeks and possibly a month). When are you guys moving into this place?

Good idea also to have the driver move in and be included in the deal.

I'm very interested in this and will be following this with great interest!

We'd need a third person (or a string of month-long commitments) to move in there with us and so far we don't have it. As much as we love the place and it would be cool to share it with coming members, a 14,000 square foot house is way too big just for the two of us here. We'll probably get something smaller with no extra space.
Hotwheels 路 2013-07-30 11:00:00 路 #1110
If a 14,000 square foot house is 3 grand/month, what does a 7 thousand footer go for?

Or is that in Pauperville?
el mechanico 路 2013-07-30 11:00:00 路 #1111
I say we send Ali-B there and pay his rent but....We need a live video camera online we can charge subscription fees to cover our expenses. Just one in his room and in the area where he has his drinks.

7K footer goes for about the same money really, maybe 2.5K instead of 3K. A mansion of this size (14K) would generally be listed for $4K or more, so it is a steal.

I have seen the house and this is a steal for $3,000 month. I wish i had the money to move in there. The house is huge and the location is great.

Give the pizza delivery guy a camera for when he brings it to Ali's room.

It's a safe neighborhood - well, as safe as you can imagine for DR. It's all nice large houses around, so at least it's not a single and obvious target. Walls are very high. The police are patrolling the streets there super tight as some of the richest guys live in that area. We'd probably get a couple of vicious dogs too.

Maybe this place is no longer an option for a group lease? - however, probably, investing a little in hiring your own security people for the place (a rotating shift) would be good too, given such a big place and potentially a target for jacking. Certainly the driver and the maid/cook would also double/triple as eyes and ears for the ongoings at the place, as well.... and yes, having someone who can get the girls to go home after you are done with them, and or not to come over without an invitation would be an essential thing with a longer residence and several guys potentially swooping talent to the place.

It seems that someone would have to manage these "employees" or hired people - with potential drama in that regard.. I don't wanna be a "nay sayer;" however, there is always drama when dealing with multiple hired people.. and whether you can trust the ones that you hire or not? hm? The ones that you hire may be the ones most-likely to organizing some kind of jacking of the place.

I'm not saying that this group house could not be done in such a location b/c for sure you can hire people for pretty cheap - and maybe even have some kind of rotation system of the people that you hire in order that none of them get too comfortable, unless you have some particular reason to trust certain ones.

So if the monthly rental is $3000, it would probably would be good to add another $1500 or maybe a little more to incorporate these various safeguarding and quality of life expenses... And, having your own cook prepare a few meals a week for the group could allow you to eat much better food for less money.

What kind of dumb shit is that, if you dont carry an ID you get arrested and put in the same cell with the average criminal (10 people in one small room).

Lesson: I value my freedom even more.

Your lesson: Make sure you are always carrying your ID here in DR, specially late at night

I realize that Pitt posted this message several months ago: however, I thought that in some of these "third-world" scam-filled locations, it was safer to carry a photocopy of your ID, rather than the real deal - but maybe that photo copy is not going to work. Or maybe it would be better to have a fake ID made in order that your real ID does not get Jacked?

@ Ali _ BTW I am just reading through this thread, and it took me several days and probably, I only read between 1/3 and half of the posts, in total. I saw that Fisto's thread seems to have been a kind of continuation of the DR adventures, and I only read a few of those postings on Fisto's thread (25 pages). I may have to go back and read some more of the middle posts of this thread, and read parts or all of the Fisto thread? he he he...

Actually, I like a lot of ideas about the DR girls being hot and relatively DTF, and I know that bachata is really big in DR. Even though I can dance bachata, I am quite a bit more into salsa, chachacha and merengue... I would imagine that clubs in DR play all of those music genres, even though, likely, they may play bachata more than the others?

Did any of you guys have a sense concerning how much dance game could be played in the various cities or the clubs that you frequented? Were the dance floors very central to night game? I would imagine some clubs had big dance floors and other clubs don't. And, if the guy had a preference for salsa, chachacha and merengue (rather than bachata) would that preference affect how many locations he would be available to use dance game on the DR girls?

What about a decently nice watch, something like a Michael Kors and maybe some Gucci shades? I'm planning on going on a South American trip in the next couple months but need to know if it's safe to wear expensive things. I suppose it depends on the venue. Out in the streets I'm guessing nice things aren't a good idea, but places like bars and clubs are safe as long as you're getting a ride to or from. Does that sound accurate? I don't know because the last time I spent time in South America, I wasn't too into nice things.

From what the way you're making dressing sound, I think my wardrobe will be pretty on point. I have a nice hook up on some real quality shirts made in Turkey that are nice and bright.

Not sure about the DR, but I wouldn't suggest wearing jewelry in most South American countries. Especially in Brasil or Peru. It's not necessary to hook up with chicks and it can potentially get you robbed.

Guys, just noticed a bit on this thread about San Cristobal,
I'm interested in visiting the smaller cities and cities in the North/Central.

I've been in Santo Domingo for 2 months now, honestly I haven't felt much exotic value, I've been working the college campuses and stuff, but even day game hasn't been great, it's been ok at best. Lots of golddigers and bitch-shields , it's just absolutely exhausting and there doesn't seem to be a clear correlation between the work you put in and what you get out.

San Cristobal: seems ghetto, people say it's dangerous, but yah, the girls seem to give you higher value, and there are dimes there. Any take on where to stay , how to work it?

I'm thinking of moving to Santiago, felt a ton of attention online from there,

Also:

Jarabacoa?
La Vega?
Bonao?

Here's a meetup if anyone is interested or just PM me if you want to meet up.
