He talks about getting into a mindset where you are not thinking about direct causation, and are present to the moment.

In essence, you let more of your animal side takeover. Like a woman, you are living for the now, and not in your head. I think girls can sense that you are an animal like them, and the result is that it builds comfort.

But, I don't think it is a gender thing. This is the real "natural" or animal game, not a"feminine" game, it is part of building comfort (pull). It's creating the possibility that you'd push her away at any moment, that you are solidly committed to what you want, and only what you want. There's a sense of excitement and danger here- you're aren't bound by the beta norms of society. You're are like a tiger.

When we talk about being a "natural," or going "caveman," this is all about accessing the pre-rational parts of ourselves. It is like Rousseau's return to a state of nature

This state is where all the natural body language comes from etc.

I think that this is kind of the base line, most fundamental stage in game. And it doesn't matter if you are a newbie or you've been at it for a while, it needs to be going at all levels. When you aren't in it, you are a slave, when it's on, the world is yours.

This is what all the game techniques try to get us back to. This is the "best" self that we always talk about, and the self that girls mean when they "just be yourself."

When you mention "be like a tiger," maybe a different way of framing it is feline vs. canine game. The aloof, narcissistic, mysteriously playful approach vs. the tactile, aggressive, exciting approach. Roissy had a post on this concept too.

I'm talking about releasing the animal from the bondage of social pressures.

Regardless of whether or not the dog is alpha or beta, he still needs to be taken out to run around.

It's this basic sense of freedom that needs to be felt. There might be different ways to access it, but it's something to be aware of.

If you are having a rough night, I think it's a good idea to check-in with yourself to ascertain whether or not you feel the sense of freedom. In my experience, it is unlikely that I can connect with women when I'm feeling disconnected from myself (the animal). At the very least, it's important to recognize this instead of letting it be some nebulous thing that is ruining your night. Then, you can distance yourself from it, and maybe get things going in the other direction.

Like recognizing the reality of situation, even if it sucks: "Wow, I feel like shit right now. That's interesting." and then hitting the next button on you and focus on some other immediate thing- "There's a beer bottle. I can feel the weight of my hand. There's a girl. I want to fuck that girl." Just being in touch with the immediate feelings, kind of like what the guy says in the video.

I say be like a tiger, because a tiger fearlessly goes after what it wants. I don't think a tiger can get scared away. Even if there is a bigger, more ferocious animal, the tiger has that irrational self-confidence.
