Pilar Sanders, the estranged wife of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, was arrested for assault on Monday after Deion said she attacked him in front of their sons.

The website for the Colin County, Texas, jail says that Pilar Sanders was arrested for assault-family violence, a Class C misdemeanor.

Sanders wrote on Twitter Monday that his wife had attacked him: “Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I’m pressing charges!” Sanders wrote.

In two more tweets that Sanders has since deleted, he wrote that he had previously told the local police he was concerned his wife would “harm me and my boys,” and he linked to a photograph of himself and his sons filling out police reports.

Sanders filed for divorce in December. In March, Pilar Sanders filed a lawsuit against Deion, saying he had made libelous and slanderous statements about her.

Deion Sanders is scheduled to be part of NFL Network’s coverage of the NFL draft, starting on Thursday.

Yeah...one of the chicks in TLC that Rison was dating got mad at him and started a fire in a bathtub I think. And he didn't break up with her either!

I didn't want to start a separate thread, so I'll just stick this in here. Chien Ming-Wang, a Taiwanese MLB pitcher (he had some great seasons with the Yankees), actually publicly apologized for having an affair a couple of years ago! He apologized to his wife, kid AND the bitch he fucked! Only someone with his cultural upbringing would do this:

Washington Nationals pitcher Chien-ming Wang has admitted having an affair with a woman in Florida two years ago, publicly apologizing to his family.

The 32-year-old right-hander told Taiwanese media during a news conference Monday at the Nationals' training facility in Viera, Florida, that he regretted the damage the affair has caused to his family. Wang has been married since 2003 and has a 3-year-old son.

"Two years ago I made a very serious mistake. I will not and cannot excuse myself for this mistake. To my family and friends who love and support me, I will not even dare to ask for your forgiveness but I want to express my most deep apology," Wang said in comments translated to English. "I didn't want to hurt this woman, but after weighing the situation, I decided it is even more important not to hurt my family. That is why I decided to come forward today and face my own mistake.

"Because of my lack of will, I have hurt my wife, my family and this woman. There are no words to describe how deeply sorry I am to have hurt you all."

Wang starred for the New York Yankees for three years before injuring his foot during the 2008 season. The Nationals signed him to a contract in 2010, but injuries kept him out of action until the middle of last year.

I looked up the comments on Yahoo News about how he tweeted a photo of him and his kids filing assault charges, to see how the commenters would respond. These are the highly rated comments:

"Private matters should be kept private especially when kids are involved. Posting the picture of them is just wrong."

"It's one thing to have to watch your sons file a police report against their own mother, but why Deion chose to take a picture of it and post it online is beyond me. Not a very classy move there Deion. Shame on you."

"Doesn't matter how bad of a person your wife is, don't use the kids as pawns in your divorce. Regardless of what happens between them, that is still going to be the kids' mother."

Actually, most or all of those were posted by guys. But imagine Deion had assaulted Pilar, and it was Pilar tweeting a photo of her filing assault charges. We all know that guys, and girls, would be tripping over themselves to praise Pilar. "What a brave, strong woman." "It's so good to see someone taking a stand on the evil that is domestic violence." "That takes courage." And on and on and on...

If they thought Deion shouldn't be so crass as to tweet it, I'd understand. But I also know that they're only saying that because it was Deion who was assaulted, allegedly, and not the woman. Men as well as women are all for due process and respecting the accused when it's a woman. But the alleged perp has a penis? Holy shit, throw his guilty black ass under the bus! You go girl for being brave enough to tell the world! It's safe to conclude that most of his critics are pussy white knights and American women.
