Yeah they know any normal guy can easily have a few different girls on the go, I suspect they'd probably think you weird if you didn't. If a girl keeps going on and on about it and really demanding to know, like one of my regular girls did recently, I'd tell her to mind her own business. I ended up in 'The Club' at the insistence of a guy I was drinking with and there were a fair amount of thais in there, girls and guys. Some of the girls may have been pros but majority not I'd say. Got a few numbers but was so unfocused that kept wandering off when I saw another girl I liked, ended up with some African girls afterwards on the street but managed to lose them too. FOCUS! Kowsan at the weekend could be a good spot for a guy looking to pick up some locals, the ones in The Club all were clearly there to meet farang guys.

I actually like kowsan too. A girl from thai friendly brought me there and some hot danish girls were actually all over me. Unfortunately in the end I hooked up with the thai girl because I did not want to be an asshole but I still regret not hooking up with the hot blonde.

Normally I would say you are right about bringing the girl back. This time it was a BIT different though. I met her late at night and basically I asked her if she wanted to keep drinking and she said no she has to work. I meet Thai girls all the time mid week when they've got work the next day, they still end up back at my apartment. Some will just come back, fuck, then leave and others will wake me up at like 5/6am and tell me they have to go. I love it when they don't hang around and just let themselves out.

I don't like Kowsan road it's self much. The exceptions are Brick Bar which is a great Thai ska bar (it's hidden away inside in the same complex as Maccy Dees) and the Rooftop bar with live music can be good too but there's plenty of decent places in the surrounding area where there's hardly any other farang and loads of thai students. I can definitely see it being an OK spot on the weekend if have no other options, enough farang hunters in The Club (and probably the other venues too) to keep a man happy.

Due to the shyness of many Thai girls how do you guys go about breaking the ice and bringing them out of their shells on a first date? I had trouble getting the girl from last night to open up and chat, it wasn't until she had a good few drinks in her she started to speak a bit more, was really dull to begin with. I see a lot of people in here trying to type thai language words in english and they are getting the pronounciations all wrong. I know this because my ex wife is Thai (met in US). I have lived with thai people for many years and it cracks me up how wrong people can be trying to speak with the right sounds..thai is a tonal language. Thai people have a bitch of a time with the english letters r and l. I used to try for hours to get my wife to say "relish"..she couldnt ever say it. So anyways here are some examples if you guys want to speak a little better thai. Bangkok..thais say krung thep...sounds more like gooong tep. if u want anything fried, u say "tod". chicken is "ghai", pork is "moo", rice is "kow", fish is "pla", eggs are "ky ky" can also mean ur nuts. if u think a chick is hot.. "sway, sway". love is "lock". girlfriend is "fan". Handsome is "law" not lor. farang is way off..it sounds more like "falung". if something hurts you you say "jep". fun things to say to girls is "taloong" means crazy. tell your girl that she is "ba ba bo bo" say it fast, it means like crazy wishy washy its not that rude. "cop baan" means go home. your unit is either "quay" or "jew". suck is "doot", bite is "got". like is "shhop". want is "ow". "may ow" i dont want it. If you guys want to know more stuff, you can pm me and I will try to respond in a timely fashion. The point that I am trying to make is that if you know how to speak a little bit and with the correct thai pronounciations, it will go far. I have experienced the exact same thing. What I do is 1) talk a lot myself 2) ask them a lot of questions. That way they are forced to talk more. In all honesty though I am a pretty heavy drinker so we do not stay sober for very long haha.

It's really difficult to write down Thai in English script because it doesn't deal with the pronunciation or tonal aspect of it at all. It's no use trying to learn it based on just reading, you need to be able to hear it. Even then it can be difficult for us Westerners to pronounce, I often think I'm repeating exactly what a thai girl has just taught me but they don't seem to think so.

Yeah I end up doing all the talking, asking loads of questions but it gets boring waiting for them to open up. Not all the girls are like this thankfully, some are chatty right off the bat but many are just too shy. When they do open up everything is fine, I just wish their was a shortcut to it. Just wanted to make sure that you guys understood about mispronounciation. I used to have a friend from England, he thought he was the Thailand expert because he went backpacking and stayed in Koh Samui. He used to try to speak Thai, and it was horrible, like he got his words from lonely planet or something. My wife at the time had the hardest time understanding because of his pronounciation. I would imagine that a lot of tourists do this. Remember that most Thai people see you as a walking dollar bill. Dont ever forget that. Prices that they quote you are probably 3 times what they would get from a native Thai. Also remember that you are the big joke there. Most non sex worker Thais will assume that you are a sex tourist until proven otherwise. Speaking bad pronounced Thai like my English friend will put you in that category faster than you can blink. My wife would go around Bangkok speaking English to me as loud as possible because people assumed that because she wore shorts and was with me, she was a hooker. We stayed at the Novotel, and the security was giving her a hard time because they thought I was bringing a hooker back to my room. I love it when it rains in Bangkok as it really cools down but at the same time when it goes on and on, torrential style, for hours on end like it has tonight it can totally fuck up plans.
