Still am, but now I've honed my game skills. So even though I can't really relate to people, I'm way more social. I just never really found my click or friends I wanted to spend a lot of time with.

/me.
I'm very social but I have trouble keeping friends, but man I am a chatty mofo. Man I can't shut my mouth sometimes. People don't seem to rebound off of what I'm talking about sometimes.
Maybe it's a failure to realize similar interests, or realize what they're interested in?
I also find my logic is too much for other people sometimes.
Honestly I think I'm a bit narcissistic and don't really care for other people too much. Sounds harsh I know, but I think I'm a bit selfish.

Just saw "All or Nothing" 's post, and have to say that's pretty much me. My brain is so hardwired into being introverted despite my fierce battle to become a socially confident extrovert.

It's fucking hard.

Your personality type sounds very similar to mine. I'll admit, whenever I read your posts, you seem to share pretty similar views/experiences that I have had. Although admittedly, you are significantly better at expressing them and have a higher lever of maturity than me.

In high school, shit all of school, I never really fit in. I feel like this handful of traumatic experiences I had when I was 8-9 catapulted me into a completely different direction than everyone else. All throughout school I was completely incapable of basic socializing and I simply could not understand why. As a result, I was an outcast through most of school, but I always had a couple friends.

In high school specifically, I developed three close friends. We were all pretty nerdy introverts. Either way, it worked and we spent a lot of time together. I know all their shit, personal tragedies and problems and man I don't know if I will have another friendship as close as I do with those three. I will say this, my respect is IMMENSE for all three of them. Knowing that two of them is finding their way in the world is something that makes me really happy to know. One of them has become a Marine. The other goes to the same college as me and his desire to improve his social standing is strong. The last has me worried though. He is poor and he had to drop out of college after freshman year with 10,000 dollars of debt to his name. He is either going to work construction with his father or go back to college. It would be a damn shame to see his intelligence go to waste just because he can't afford college, but I guess that's how the world turns.

Man, thinking about high school always leads me to this struggle I have going on internally. Part of me has this intense desire to become a super confident extrovert without these deep emotional problems developed from childhood trauma. Yet, the logical side of me realizes that biologically my brain is wired in the introverted way. On top of that the emotional scars are so deep, I know that I will never internally be "normal". I am still actively working on overcoming my problems, but who I am going to become is something that still sticks in the back of my head. I'm glad I am like my grandfather in the respect that I never give up. It's crazy thinking about it, but I guess you just gotta roll with the punches or drown.

Long story short, I did not fit in in high school, but I developed three close friends.

RE: Who were you during high school?
Highschool wasn't that long ago for me. For my four years there I was shy and unable to make much friends due to my "school before friendship" attitude. Getting a girl was hard for me back then. Hell one bitch told me"I can't ever see you having sex with someone". And I was always the weak kid who was laughed at when asked to make a muscle. Relationship wise, I could only pull off online ones which were terrible itself. Now, I'd just rather talk to a girl online to see what she'll do on camera.

The only thing which paid off was the fact that I was valedictorian by the end of my senior year. And even that title wasn't that fulfilling to me. But I missed out on so much social shit that I experience now.

The two talents that I felt good about doing in high school was always music and dancing. I remember joining the step club for my first year, if anything it eliminated my fear of publicly dancing on stage. Hell, my friends at college often like it when they see me dance.

Fast fowarding to my college experience now, I can see a big improvement over what has happened in highschool. I haven't banged yet, but at least I can smile and tell that bitch back in highschool that my tounge has met someone elses. I can tell those chodes that I'm getting there with my muscle. I have a lot of "hi and bye" friends, but I am generally respected by everyone at least.

I still do what I can to improve my inner game and such. Whether that be going to the gym, lurking on here, getting this damn pimple off my face, and just overall knowing that all of this game shit is going to benefit me someday.

I've lurked on this site for a while and I am happy to lurk even more.

RE: Who were you during high school?
My situation is similar to speakeasy. The only difference is that i'm very cocky with cute girls and that they do favours for me without expecting something from me.It's a very nice thing to watch a girl doing something for you with pleasure. Even if it is trivial. I feel like i can connect with girls more easilly. I can say, illogical, silly things and have very nice time.

With guys my age though...i don't have many friends. All they talk about is pc games, physics, football and facebook games.Such a waste of time. I still have one more year and i'm gonna work like a fucking slave for my self in order to afford the independant lifestyle i want.

In conclusion, i'm very happy that i was in a fucked up situation that let me to here. We are all lucky guys to find this forum

RE: Who were you during high school?
My high school sucked! It was so bad that I fucked off to France for grade eleven (good times), then when I came back, I was voted party animal of the year in my graduating high school class (01'). I threw some epic house parties throughout high school, even when I go back home to visit, there'll be at least one person who says "remember that party....". It was a well deserved honour.

I had a gf in my last year so not too much game development then, I partied a lot and smoked copious amounts of reefers throughout high school.

High school was fun, but uni was better.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

The sort of guy that spoke about blondies all the time (even when It was not the subject of topic at all Blush ), they though I was sort of crazy/psychotic because It was a all-boys-school and real blondes are truly rare (a sort of unicorn) in my home country.

RE: Who were you during high school?
I was never fat or chubby, but I went to a terrible school academically and also in terms of girls there.

I think my year level was like 80% male, and almost all of the girls were fugly. This really sucked.

I did hang with nerdy guys though because I needed to push myself academically and I found that was the best way to do so. I had friends from all the cliques and was quite popular though. However, my closest friends were Beta as fuck. Luckily I haven't spoken to them after High School finished.

I was on my way to becoming an ubergeek, but was saved by Rock and Roll and became the school's famed bass player.

What screwed me over was being stuck in a LTR with an less than average looking girl.Dodgy

RE: Who were you during high school?
I went to a small rural private high school and most of the time I was one of the few boys sitting in the class. So yeah, I had no best guy friend.

Everyone thought I was banging our philosophy teacher because she was always giving me the maximum grades and often commented on how clever I was.

I was really insecure about myself though, and it's really a pity because now I realize I was actually quite popular and I could have had much more fun had I been more confident and less self-conscious.

Eventually I got into a relationship with a rather cute girl who was one year older than me after she'd aggressively gamed me for almost four months. Some other girls were also hitting on me but I couldn't understand it because I was so clueless hahaha!

RE: Who were you during high school?
All boy catholic high school in the South. We were so hungry, we flirted with the lunch ladies. One of the 6 foot basketball players claimed he smashed the fine lunch lady. Going to my high school was a big DHV in itself in which we were known to have the best band and really good football team. Even freshman year, I remember, "public school hoes," as we called them would be at the gate to watch the band practice. When I first heard of the Parieto Principle, it reminded me of these high school experiences in which this handful of dudes in my homeroom had stories for days about what they did with girls. The reason I believed them is because every 7+ girl I would meet and talk to would find out what school I go to, then name drop these same dudes then giggle about them, over and over. It was out of control. How were these mofos monopolizing all of the women not only in the city, but in the entire region? I felt that all of these girls were tainted; therefore, I did not pursue. I didn't have much game. I was more desperate than anything and wound up with a fatty Jr year and had run ins w/ two 7's Sr year. Sr year prom I had one of the baddest chicks in the building even though she was a mom-friend hookup. lol

RE: Who were you during high school?
high school was a two part story for me.

went to a school in suburbia for 2 years before going to the south side of the city for my last 2.

- varsity basketball every year in 2 different schools, but wasn't in with the in crowd
- video gamer for 2 years, very little studying and average grades
- high honor student for the last 2 years with near perfect grades
- rolled with a crew of the only brown kids in the school for the first 2 years. the last 2 years, i was one of the only non african kids in my school
- definitely had little game off the basketball court

RE: Who were you during high school?
Obnoxious and dysfunctional (went to a private religious school which I hated so I just acted out for negative attention and didn't make friends, also did some petty delinquencies like vandalizing the school after graduation was over just out of teen angst).

Don't really give a crap now though, actually learned a few of the 'red pill' truths just by watching the petty relationship dramas of others.

Never dated or had a GF at HS age, but messed around with other girls (felt a little insecure at the time about having no GF but didn't mind it too much in the long run since most of it went no where; don't know a single person from HS who stayed in a relationship after the fact).

RE: Who were you during high school?
I was the guy who was more interested in music than school, and it showed in my grades.
Music and English being my highest ones (10 and 9, respectively), everything else was average (6's or 7's).

Funny thing is, I saw how stupid the whole system seemed: 3 years of regurgitating the same bullshit from comprehensive school (albeit with fancier language), taught by people who barely understand the subject, culminating in a week-long final exam (where you have to cram everything from the prior 3 years and then parrot the correct answer on a paper, within a given time limit).
All for a white cap, (which you can wear once a year after graduation during the Finnish "vappu" without looking like a cunt) and a smug sense of superiority over the people working a trade.

RE: Who were you during high school?
My experience has two halves.

In the first year I was short , a bit chubby, very outspoken and in a sense, out of control. I managed to start a fight with the "hard man' at school on my first day. This lead to me getting jumped a good few times on the playground for the next 2 years. I was also bullied by a group of girls a few years older and a few other random nobheads. I had a few friends but was a loser who would be the class clown and learn nothing. I did manage to smash a 5 in my first year though. She had a gorgeous figure but was a bit of a butter face.

The summer of year 9 I had a massive growth spurt and came back looking completely different. I was a lot better looking had sorted my hair out and had leaned out considerably.

A lot of people commented on how my appearence had changed. I eventually became one of the well known so called cool kids after having a few fights with the people who had done me wrong in the previous years and being able to get into the panties of the cutest nerdy type girl in the year. I had a small circle of people i would hang out with (mainly the unruly kids) but i did speak to everyone.

I didn't really have any issues after that until i eventually got kicked out for plastering the school in graffiti one weekend and just general dumbness.

I was so pressured to get good grades by my parents that I didn't have much fun till Junior year when I started hitting the gym and grew out of my shell.

It somewhat fucked me up socially but it led me here so it worked out well in the end

RE: Who were you during high school?
I was tall and thin (and still am), but back then I cared about almost nothing except playing video games. I dressed like an awkward slob and wore clothes several sizes too big for me. I had no idea how to make my natural characteristics work for me.

What's frustrating is that I could have done well with girls if I just presented myself better. If I could go back and give myself a proper haircut and clothes, I would've been much more confident and appealing. But figuring all this out is part of growing up, I suppose.

Debate team, but not really a nerd.

Got regular play from various quality girls. Without catholic indoctrination, I probably would've impregnated some so I'm glad I was somewhat timid around girls at that age.

RE: Who were you during high school?
Man, this is going to sound really arrogant, but at the time, I never thought of myself as superior, I just thought I was broken compared to other people.

I hated petty authority, despised tedious process, and always made teachers angry by questioning their faulty logic, and this goes way back to realising I had power over my teacher as a six-year-old by simply pretending to fall asleep in class, or triggering the Nuns as an eight-year-old by asking 'What evidence do we have that Jesus was real?'. I never understood why everyone just unquestioningly went along with everything, so I learned to not show my intelligence to teachers or classmates because I thought no-one would recognise it anyway.

I didn't run with any clique, and was always doing my own thing because I recognised my interests were beyond most people, and had much older friends outside of school. Girls would gossip about me because I'd always be seen around town with people they didn't know, doing things outside their sphere of familarity. As such, they just always had to approach me to figure me out: "Why were you at X with Y and what were you doing?" Having an Queen Bee sister, and overhearing the conversations of her and her clique, I had no Disney Princess conceptions of girls, so wouldn't show them the deference they were used to, unknowingly making myself attractive to them through my disinterest. I really just stumbled into sexual success with women mainly via my teenage contempt for everyone and everything, and had particular success with non-working class girls.

The girls talking to me would really trigger the Sporting Jocks, who despised me for not recognising their authority.

Lost interest in the process entirely two years before graduation, left and never finished. This is why I have University Degrees, whilst not having a HSC (Aussie version of high school diploma). Before I got rid of Facebook, girls would track me down on it, curious as to why I've never come to any of the reunions. See how they're still fascinated by me for not doing the done thing years later? One of them told me how she'd tried to track me down for a reunion through my mother, who cut off her rambling and responded with "High school is over dear, it's time to grow up" before hanging up. Where do you think I got it from?

Pink from Dazed and Confused but less principled about not signing a paper promising not to smoke weed. Built like him, looked a good deal like him, had an easy-going apathy that still succeeded in academics, a good athlete (all-state in basketball rather than football, though) but not so much a jock as my best friends were "nerds."

I was part of the group of metalhead rejects who wore baggy pants and jewelry. Most of my friends were not in my grade, and I was not popular, but we had a lot of fun.

I did poorly in school because I hated school work. The whole "didn't apply myself" bit. I was a really into drawing and video games back then. Used to doodle in class constantly, not do homework, and do mediocre on tests. Graduated with my class just barely.

That being said, my best and closest friends I have today were friends I made in school.
