Hey everyone,

So I'm in the process of thinking about my first trip to Colombia, with some help from this forum. Planning on doing a bit of travelling and renting an appartment for a few months.

Yet I have a major concern which is age. I'm 21 and look a few years younger 18-19. Now at first I didn't see this as a major hurdle since I would just go for girls my own age, university students and whatnot. Yet from this forum it looks like the average 20 year old is looking for someone 30-35. So I'm wondering if this would leave me totally screwed or its not going to be TOO big of a downside. On the plus side I would have my own nice appartment, can speak conversational Spanish and would be living in a 2nd tier city.

If this is going to be a serious dealbreaker for girls is there anything I can do about it?

Mate don't be deterred by the other thread. Its merely an observation by one individual.

I went to Colombia last year (aged 24) and had a blast with plenty of girls around my age bracket.

If you are conversational in Spanish you will have no problem.

Age should be no problem. You should only worry about improving your Spanish and game. My thread was probably misunderstood by most guys here. I never said that all Colombianas prefer much older guys. What I really meant to say was that some of them are open to much older guys (probably a higher percentage than in the states). At your age you should have no problem with girls 21 and under.
