Here's a snapshot of one guys medals on the armchairgeneral forum;



That forum runs on vbulletin, so I have no idea if it is something that can be implemented here via the software.

If not, the medals could be issued to members to put in their sigs possibly?

I'm sure there are some guys here that would love to design the medals.

I miss the rep point system.

Idk why, But I liked it. I see no harm in keeping it.

For the record: I support a rep points system

It was useful on other forums I used in college to collect music. The people who had the most rep points usually posted the best music and had the best opinions. I do not see how this could not implemented here and have the same use.

I don't think we have enough data to form a decision. Its only been 1 month.

I remember a few years ago when we didn't even really use the rep system. The forum was awesome.

Then we all started going crazy with the rep points. The forum was awesome.

Now, the points are gone. The forum is still awesome.

I really don't know which way I like better. Its too soon to tell.

I do miss being able to look up each persons "repped" posts.

Also, I think the rep points cause more lying. I think some guys make shit up because they are trying to get points.

Either way, I'll be here.

The hall of fame roll-out seems to be going well. I like having all the great threads in one place better than having to look at each member's individually repped posts.
