St Patricks day is 100% the easiest day of the year to get laid. Here's why:

-- It encourages drinking and partying all day - more time to make your approaches
-- By 8 pm, most guys are hammered. Just by being conscious at 8pm your odds skyrocket
-- Low price venues become the hot spots. Since you usually can't get more affordable drinking than an Irish bar, you don't have to deal with venues being "guest list only", "can't get in here with them shoes", etc
-- bar rows become even bigger hot spots (see point above ). If a bar sucks, just bail and walk across the street. There are no disadvantages of doing this.
-- Repressed chicks love this holiday, since it is acceptable to drink yourself silly on St Patrick's day, girls who don't often go out will be out, and will have no qualms about "getting wild" because their friends are doing the exact same things.
-- Just be being somewhat presentable and not sloppy drunk puts you lightyears above the drunken masses, and makes simple, direct game viable. Just saying "hey there", and talking gets you almost everywhere


I live in New York City - home of a gigantic St Patrick's Day parade, unreal amount of Irish bars and just about everything else needed to make this day good.
I figure cities with similar celebrations do just as well, like Savannah, Georgia.

So yeah - I know it just passed, but I guess mark that down for next year - St Patricks Day is amazing!

--Almost everyone goes out in packs, typical pack mentality and pack approach problems
--By 8pm most guys are hammered, but girls are going home
--Lots of approaches you make are on girls so drunk they can't even stand up properly or speak
--Every venue is so packed you can't even move, let alone talk to people
--Out past 11pm? Expect lots of dudes to try to pick fights with you

On the plus side I saw a dude climb up a crooked tree, fall, smash his nuts on the tree, and roll off and crash onto the sidewalk.

That said, St. Patty's day is a great day for house parties, but I feel like that isn't what you had in mind.

That said, St. Patty's day is a great day for house parties, but I feel like that isn't what you had in mind.

This is true for much of the later part of the day. Start with them early and you've more or less got it as long as you can kind of moderate how much a girl drinks. There is a peak where it's easiest and on a day like yesterday, it's going to be pretty early.

This was my experience to some extent, although I am in a small town, there is a downtown with a bar row.

Basically it was a major cockfest at the bars (which it usually is), probably 2 to 1 ratio guys to girls.

The bars here are small and there are basically only 3 that people go to, so they were so packed that it was like sardine cans, everyone was shoulder to shoulder, bumping into each other. Made it hard to hear and get good convo going.

Definite pack mentality, lots of girls out in big groups, making it harder to isolate. Lots of groups of drunk rowdy guys all looking to get laid.

People were getting belligerent, and because I need to drive and can't risk getting a DUI, I limited it to 3 drinks, so I was way less drunk than 90% of people there. Gaming a drunk girl when you're sober can be annoying.

Finally, lots of agro energy, many fights. Saw one guy get beat up so bad that the ambulance came. If I didn't have a cool head, I could have gotten into a few myself.

Like Thor said, house parties are great, but bars not so much.

You best chance is to bounce with a girl in the afternoon, because most will be too drunk to function by 10pm, if they even make it that late.




One thing to look for would be the girls that worked the day and got a late start, they try to catch up and get drunk quick, but they are not as exhausted as all day partyers.




In other news, I was partying in London Ontario saturday, when we left the bar at night we thought it was odd that the cops had shut down the main street. Turns out a big riot happened in a student neighborhood, 1000 people showed up, news van flipped and torched and cops and firefighters attacked.

I did the pub crawl in buenos aires. 400 people showed up half foreign half argy. Made out with a 6 american, a 7 Argy, and got a 8 Venezuelan girls number and going out with her on thursday! Man so much fun.

I have to disagree, at least here in LA, it was amature night on steroids. Packs of women drunk to the point of not being able to walk straight and impossible to have even a 'club' conversation.

This St. Pat's confirmed why I'm transitioning into increasingly more upscale hotel lounge venues. Still swooped a fly Brazilian girl but she was at best a 7.5.

I got cockblocked three times in the span of a few hours on St patties day. One I was trying to fuckin the bathroom but her friend kept yelling at me telling me "SHE HAS TO GO NOW!" I had to settle for her number.

After she left I started working on this other girl. Got her in the bedroom and on the bed and started working on lowering her last minute resistance when a girl and this guy busted through the door and basically pulled her out.

Fast forward and Im leading the same girl to a couch in a room with all the lights off. We both sit down and I start touching her and We kiss and then a group of people come into the room she stands up and this drunk dude takes her spot and starts passing out.

At least the party had some good liquor.

I think this probably has a lot to do with city you are in and the ratio of men to women. St. Patty's has typically been a slam dunk for me. If you are in a place with more women than men you should clean up.

I also typically go out during the day/early evening and head back to one of our places before it gets too late under the pretense of getting something to eat.

Were any of you fellow Chicagoans in Wrigleyville during St. Patty's? I missed the crazy scene out there. I chilled at a friend's pad for a while and hit up Lincoln Park for a lil while but the spot we were at was nothing to write home about. I hit up John Barleycorns like 3 years ago on St. Patty's and it was pretty nuts. I think this year's St. Patty's was supposed to be one of the most intense in the bar areas including Wrigleyville. Two big factors this year: St. Patty's falling on a Saturday & unbelievably warm weather.

As with most holidays, your best bet is to find a venue with women that has no alcohol, and is packed during the day.

For example, on New Years Eve, I went swing dancing where there was no alcohol, and picked up a girl there.

On Saint Patties Day, I wasn't looking to get laid, but I chatted up girls on the subway and noticed how receptive all of them were. Then I noticed the subway trains were packed because of the holiday. I realize now that proper day game and subway game was a fucking goldmine then.

When I went out to bars that night, it was a sausage fest or girls were all in their groups. Easily the worst place to try and pick up.


I think holidays are great times to get pick up new chicks, but you need to take advantage of the chaos holidays create, and look in unorthodox places.

yup I was in wrigley and yes it was insane. They closed down Clark between Addison/Sheffield to car traffic because it got so out of hand. I don't think the city was prepared for such large crowds.

I went out for St Patties in Malmo and it was rammed full at all the pub venues. As usual it was a sausage fest, but I like the atmosphere on this day (plus I have Irish on my moms side) and will never miss no matter where in the world I am in.

I went out with a Swedish wingman and warned him to pace himself. We barhopped to a few places talking with girls and having fun. I go out early in Sweden as the ratios are better and guys dont approach girls until they are drunk, so it was not hard to find some cute girls to join us on our tour.

We met two girls from Copenhagen (one cute, one sexy) and decided to go all in with them. These girls were a lot of fun and sex was damn near a sure thing as their hotel was right in the main bar area and I had scotch with me. We started playing this truth or dare game in a tent bar for shots and my friend wouldnt slow down. He got pretty drunk and cockblocked himself out of the race but I kept going and kept going in for the kill. Now I was kissing both girls and my wing was in his own head wondering what to do.

These Danish girls can drink, and suddenly the scotch was not looking like a good idea as the cute blond was starting to act trollish and trying to make out with me and I was now going for the tall sexy Dane. My buddy was now just sitting and trying to focus his eyes.

In the end I got cockblocked by alcohol as the blonde troll couldnt control herself and was relying on her friend to take care of her. The most peace we had was 5 minutes in the toilet before drunkenness cockblocked us again.

Kind of a typical Patties although this was much messier than my usual.

Halloween Comm on , Women are half naked,everyone are thrill, a lot of men are out of town for the hunting seasons. A lot of relationship are on hold or destroyed because of the past summer,school has just begin so no excuse to not attempt the party .

I've had some good St. Pats in the past. Could've pulled in '08, then my damn girlfriend showed up. Worked in '09, argh! Pulled in '10. Drank three 4 lokos in '11, oops. Worked in '12, but still almost pulled from a house party, but a conflict of conscience came up.

So the big question still remains unanswered- did you get laid this year on St Patricks day?

I went out in NYC and I also disagree with most of what you said. Lines were long, there were too many dudes, and people were TOO drunk. I actually find that hitting on super-drunk girls is more DIFFICULT than other girls. They are too sloppy for me.

I have had some GREAT St. Patricks days though.. when I went to FSU and was living in Tallahassee it was unreal. St Pattys in a college town is insane
