I agree, if they ask, usually via text, I tell them some vague line like "an adventure" or something of that nature.

I personally prefer happy hours, and then bouncing from there. If it fails, you haven't wasted your night, just your afternoon / evening.

One cool thing to do is make a meeting point at a bar or lounge or whatever, but before the meetup, meet at one of your places, and "predrink", and see if you can escalate from there.

What have you guys done in cases where the chick lives a bit of a ways off. got this solid 9 asian girl calling me to meet up now, but she lives like 45 mins away where I don't know a single venue... Do you meet halfway, make her come out to you, or meet her in her neck of the woods. hope i'm adding to this thread instead of hijacking.. I'm not so sure the alpha thing to do is blindly select some bar i know zero about

The alpha thing, of course, would be to have her come to you. That is key, always have her come to you, your places, bars, etc. Although, right now, I'm finding that I like hooking up with a girl at her place, the initial hook up still happens on my "territory."

And the reason I know this is true is because I've tried going to her "territory" and it has NEVER ended up favorable to me. The only exception/compromise would be choosing a place you are both familiar/comfortable with.

Kind of in the same situation. This chick doesn't have a car, it just died, she just grad and is in w/ her parents, so we're probably going to meet halfway, she'll have to metro and I'll drive, and meet at a bar. Do some research on a middle-ground area if that's what you choose, it's easy to look up info on the net these days for good date places. I might take this chick putt putt or driving range or something w/ some drinks. For the most part if they have transportation, I make them come out to me initially and most of the time.
