Roosh,

I never thought I would encounter cockblockers during day game but the most common are homeless guys.

Scenario 1:
Girl and I were in the middle of a chat, seated next to each other, then HG comes between us, "What's up?"

Then long silence.

I played it cool, acknowledged his presence, smiled and said, "How's it going?"

More silence. He made a weird face, then walked away.

Got the number anyway...date maybe this weekend

Scenario 2:
Inside the crowded bus. Tall blond and I standing next to each other.
She's playing with an iPhone.

Me: "Excuse me is that a good phone?"
Tall blonde: Yes
Me: Oh that's good because I'm trying to upgrade. How's the reception?
TB: I don't know, I guess good. It's Verizon.

Seated homeless dude from underneath us pulls out his phone and shows it near me.

I'm now pretending to talk to both of them about phones so I don't seem rude to the guy and look good in front of the girl.

HG now tries to talk to my girl about her phone... fuck it my stop's coming soon.

Me: Hey you know you seem cool, would you like to meet up for drinks to chat some more?
Her: No thanks.

So far I think I've handled them nicely, I acknowledge their presence and talk to them--- that's my default.

Any other ideas if you encounter these things?

Bums are fucking losers, but they often have the advantage of lacking shame.

Sometimes losers who are manipulative in nature talk to you just to see if you are weak, and if they can tool you.

Here is my guess at how to handle these guys:
Give them as little validation as possible.
Try to not respond at all, or perhaps with a mmh if absolutely necessary.
Minimise eye contact with the bum, and if the girl looks at him, make eye contact with her, so she will break eye contact with him.
Don't face towards him if possible, use body language to make him 'leak' social value, make him lean in.
And if needs be try talking over him (not loudly though), ramble a lot so he can't get a word in edgeways and gives up.
And if he says something, just ignore what he said as if you didn't hear it and change the topic.
Act as if he doesn't exist.

Many people don't actually like bums, so don't worry too much about looking unkind to the girl. Be firm but fair.

This is all what I guess that I would do. Be tough with cockblockers, gentler with the girl during the day.
I would guess that being cockblocked by bums is rare.
Don't worry about it too much, you've probably just had a little bad luck.

Massive props for having the guts to try day gaming - I'm still in the stage of pussying out from opening myself.

If you are on a crowded bus where people tend to just sit or stand minding their own business and you open a girl... you are basically opening everyone in earshot. Normal people will just ignore or eavesdrop on you. Homeless dudes might join in.

A crowded bar is different because people are there to mingle... even if there was a homeless dude piggybacking on your opener you could cut him out without any problems.

Be aware of where the homeless dudes are before you open... maybe he sat near this girl on purpose and you gave him an opener?

I have only been approaching in grocery stores and here is a similar problem... there was a woman browsing produce and I was going to open her... but there were 2 workers lurking within earshot. I knew if I said "excuse me" the workers would instinctively think I'm talking to them... creating an awkward situation.

So I had to wait until the area cleared and then I went in.

Do not acknowledge people who you do not want to talk to, you can freeze them out using social pressure.

I don't think the girl wants to talk to the homeless guy either, If its on the street move her. Ask her to follow you. If its on the bus, do not acknowledge him and create a bubble between you and her.

Why are you talking to homeless guy. Its okay to be rude, to people who are weird or a problem.

As a man you need to be strong a fight for what you want. If you want to talk to the girl, just talk to her, ignore very one else.

three is a crowd, especially if it is another dude. Regardless if its in a club or a bus.

I never get amog. Why? because I don't tolerate it. And I don't talk to other dudes who are trying to talk to my girl.

Homeless guys are much like many Beta PUA guys. They convince themselves it's a "number's game" and becoming "opening machines".

Generally they stink of desperation and get fuck all though.

On the positive said, he is creating a natural excuse to venue change her....the power of time bridge....

Basically the fool is giving you a window to move her.

say: hey this guys is creeping me out, I know of a better coffee shop lets get the hell out of here." time bridge.

She will rationalize it would be better.

While walking with her, you can mock and make fun of the homeless guy....this will be a running joke between you guys.....commonality built...head to comfort......

The Homeless guys in South America are brazen. They'll basically whistle, catcall, etc if you're with a chick. (Even if it looks to others as if she's your girlfriend).
They'll call her "gorgeous", "beautiful" and compliment her in front of you. Best thing is to ignore and move on, almost got into a fight with one though.

One such guy came up and out of nowhere told me and my then-gf
"I've never been with a woman before". . .

I have NEVER been accosted for money more than in Vancouver. Its almost laughable. Almost.

I do what Gmac recommends. I acknowledge the person with a head tilt (they might not be homeless, but just lost, an old friend, looking for a light).

When it becomes apparent I am gonna get the "spare some change" thing I take the girl by her arm and move her away. Then I continue chatting like no big deal.

I have only had to get angry with a hobo a couple times. Otherwise they get the hint and move on. Although there is definite cockblock motive in mind. I have discussed this with other guys and it seems the younger hobos will make full intention of getting in there to fuck with your game.

The homeless guys in Southern Humboldt County are going nuts right now - all coming around trying to land harvest season work while living on the streets. There's always been a bit of a homeless population around here but since I moved away a little over half a decade ago, it has EXPLODED due to prop 215 and excess of growing going on. What kind of dumbass runs an illegal business and hires people of the street is beyond me but someone must be doing it...

They're getting violent too. Just this year alone there has been an account of one cutting another's throat in the middle of the daytime, one stabbing a local 17 times, one shooting and killing another, and two jumping a police officer. These are just the stories I know about.

They harrass the store owners and bartenders - sometimes they even drink in the bar and then stand outside to beg money for more drinks. Heard about one jacking off in front of some guy's house. You walk down the streets in the main town here, with a population of less than 1000 people, and on a warm summer day will shit you not see about 12 signs from one end of main street to the next (main street only goes about 9 blocks, I believe).

Locals are getting fed up with it and fights are starting to break out. I've heard of a few cases of some vigilante shit going on. I don't hate on anyone's lifestyle usually, but I even got in the mix myself. A few smarted off to me outside the bar a few weeks ago and I gave one the 1, 2, 3 and tried to take them all on. Bad alcohol-fueled decision though - some of these guys are nuts and have nothing to lose. Luckily for me they ran instead.

There was another incidence the other day where one walked into Aztec Grill and asked a couple of guys if they were going to eat all their food BEFORE THEY WERE EVEN FINISHED. I don't care how you pose that question; asking a stranger that is very aggressive behavior, and a random cat eating a fast food meal on his way to get some work done around here is not someone you want to be aggressive towards.

Apparently, the guys he asked brought him in the restroom, roughed him up, and stuck a pistol in his face. Told him to get the fuck out of town.

Shit is going nuts up here. I imagine very similar to what goes down in Williston, North Dakota.

Here in Bosnia we have gypsies who harass you for money, sometimes going from door to door to ask and if you give them money there's a high chance that every gipsy in town will come to you and ask you to spare some change. One even came to ask for money and just stood there for about a minute. They are similar in behavior to IRT's and also look Indian too. I just tell them to fuck off, and it doesn't make you bad in anyone's eyes because people are very annoyed by them, and it's sometimes also a DHV for girls and a chance to open them if they're near your table. They can either be cockblocks or wingmen, depending on how you deal with them.

Good answers already I think main thing to keep in mind is that girls are going to be very afraid of homeless men and will look to you to charge of the situation (without being a total jerk to the bum i.e. attacking him physically [which you shouldn't do if for no other reason then he might have hepatitis]).

Only other situation I can think of is one where you can reasonably expect a certain bum to be., e.g., in an alley outside a club where you plan on taking a girl outside for a smoke break etc.; in that case you could "pregame the bum" lol by going out there first by yourself, give him a couple dollars and talk to him for a minute, then when you come back with a girl (assuming he's not completely nuts) he'll treat you like the man, of which she'll take notice.
