I'm a fan of the Beastly Gentleman podcasts: http://beastlygentleman.com/

They interview a variety of digital nomads/entrepreneurs, players (love the episodes with RSDMax, Kong from SimplePickup, and of course the man himself Christian McQueen), fitness gurus, etc. The thing I like is that they ask good probing questions that are direct and easy to comprehend, not too technical and not too much off-topic rambling like in Tropical MBA for example. There are a couple of episodes which were pretty dry, but that was mostly down to the interviewee being a poor public speaker/storyteller.

And someone above mentioned the Smart Passive Income Podcast. To me that is the best business podcast out there, hands down.

Smart Passive Income is really amazing, the older stuff even more so. The host guy (Pat Flynn) is like the definition of a blue-pill nice guy with an overweight and not too attractive wife and he can sometimes be irritating because of this but gives a ton of actionable advice with which you can "easily" (for lack of a better word) build businesses. The guy makes 50k+/month. Granted most of it is a by-product of the traffic and publicity his site gets but still, he has a few legitimate businesses he built (including the whole SPI site). He and his guests share a lot of useful information regarding (more or less) passive income.

I really enjoy the Read to Lead podcast as well. The host, Jeff Brown interviews non-fiction authors every week and you can get some great book recommendations this way. The guy has an incredible radio voice. I strongly recommend this episode with Seth Godin.

I'm not a fan of Tim Ferriss. The 4-hour Workweek has its moments and also some really dumb advice (you can't live off of the passive income your investments generate for example). I agree, the way he asks his questions don't appeal to me either. Still, there are a few episodes worth checking out.

The Journey -
Two young lads discuss their journey in life. Spiritual but practical, they are pretty honest and attuned to the struggles of modern men. They talk about things like game, making money, psychology, MMA, drugs, and travel.

Tangentially Speaking -
Dr. Chris Ryan has a down-to-earth way of telling stories and rambling in an interesting, informative manner. He wrote Sex At Dawn and now does podcasts. He's a great storyteller and puts songs into his podcasts - so it feels like hanging out with a couple good mates.

Radical Personal Finance -
This guy breaks it down. How to achieve financial independence and where to put your money. How to think about money, and what not to do. I really recommend the Magic Penny episode in particular.

Danger and Play -
Mike is a legend here and his insights on fitness, girls, and life in general have greatly contributed to my life.

Verboten -
Some good electronic music/house mixes from a club out of Brooklyn.

The Tim Ferriss Experiment -
A really great podcast - about what you'd expect from the author of The 4-Hour Workweek. How to live life better.

The Rich Roll Podcast -
Rich Roll hosts a great podcast about fitness and spirituality. Learn how to eat better and how to live a life with fitness and physical, mental, and spiritual health at one's core.

Yup, if you aren't listening to this guy you're missing out, he offers up a wealth of bang-on wisdom even if you're not making money online or running an online biz.

Whereas Pat Flynn is the archtypical nice guy blue pill beta, Settle is the opposite, and regularly mixes in game, feminism and other red pill stuff with solid business and marketing advice.

Its rare you find someone (outside of this forum) who connects the dots the way he does, he's the only mainstream-ish marketer I know who has the balls to do this.

In fact, I'm surprised he's not mentioned more here.

Anybody interested in health and nutrition should check out Chris Kresser - Revolution Health Radio.

He's a functional medical practitioner who runs his own clinic and he also does a lot of research. Can get a little technical but he's very good at explaining things for people without a medical background.

I just spent this dreary Christmas morning listening to the second half of the Jocko Willink podcast. Was referred to Tim Ferris a few months back by my brother.

Jocko was fantastic. His poignant description of the fallen friends as successful is very raw. It left me wanting more knowledge and that's want I want from a good podcast.

As much as I love music, fuck listening to it all the time - you could spend that time learning new shit. I listen to podcasts for at least 1 hour everyday, specially at the gym and commuting.

This simple habit improved my life in so many ways. Reduction in stress (as in I laugh my ass off with some of them), knowing how to tell a story and when you are being boring, having more of a worldly view, better knowledge on current affairs, game tips and so on. Highly recommend it.

Just heard a fantastic podcast with James Altucher and Robert Cialdini, aka Godfather of Influence, aka "Godzilla", author of best-seller Influence.



In this podcast Cialdini talks about his book Pre-suasion, which goes into the techniques employed to make one more susceptible to receive a message or give a certain reply.

For example:
A mattress store with a wall painted with big, fluffy clouds, tends to sell more soft mattresses; or how a restaurant can increase the sales of a product by adding a little "Recommended" or "Best seller" sticker next to a dish on the menu.

Interestingly they approach the topic of dating a few times. Cialdini recommends sending a girl flowers before your first date together. Allegedly that would put her in a romantic mindframe so that, by the time the date comes, she would be more interested and would resists less to your advances.

While that may seem beta, I can't help but think it would be very impactful. If the goal is just to bang the girl, I'm sure it's dispensable. But if it's a quality girl who you'd like to keep, I can see how that plants a LTR seed in her head. As long as one keeps sending mixed signals to confuse them and not seem overly eager or romantic, I think it could be a good idea.

Another interesting moment is when they discuss the importance of your surrondings. According to Cialdini, if you go to the mall to run some day game, you should stick to something that would inspire romance, love - a flower shop, a wedding dress store, etc - rather than a neutral or detrimental location - a car shop, shoe store, and so on.

Makes me think of putting subtle cues around the house to influence girls. I've seen this posted on the board before, although I can't remember where. Imagine you have a bondage fetish - according to his research, a girl could be more susceptible to being tied up if you have some classy, B&W pictures that remind her of that idea:

I've been enjoying the 2-part Caravaggio biography.

My favorite podcast for history/culture topics is In Our Time from the BBC. Random topic every week covering virtually all time periods and all civilizations. Learned a lot from it.

Lately I've also been trying to fill in the gaps in my knowledge of Western Civilization with Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast. Over 170 some episodes, he takes you from the founding in Rome in 753 BC across a millennium of history to the empire's collapse in 476. Vividly narrated and with a good sense of humor, it's one of the most engaging history podcasts I've listened to.

Beige Phillip just makes me miss the Black Phillip Show. Patrice made up all his own terminology. Dante Nero was a great co-host on BP, and I am sure he is a player, but he cribs a lot of his terms and concepts from the manosphere.

I agree. I've only listened to a few episodes of the Beige Phillip Show, but it's nowhere near as entertaining as the Black Phillip Show. What made the Black Phillip Show entertaining, in my opinion, was how Patrice effortlessly broke down concepts and refuted arguments while still being funny; Dante, on the other hand, has a penchant (even when he was on the Black Phillip Show) to overexplain what he's talking about and get too carried away with the details. He's more of the "philosopher type," as Patrice called him. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but I personally find it boring.

Agree on the Beige Phillip show, but I have a different take on the Black Phillip show. I thought Dante Nero was one of the best wingmen, in the radio sense, I have ever heard.

Mostly, he just listened, but from what I remember, whenever Patrice was going off on a tangent, or had run out of gas, Dante would come in with a completely on point analysis that was either a restating or a personal experience, or a metaphor coming in from a different angle yet still illustrating the point Patrice was making.

When I relistened to the Black Phillip show a few months ago, what struck me the most was how good he was at fulfilling his role on the show. Patrice had to keep track of the direction of the show, and corral his guests, and deal with the callers, all without ever having done a radio show before.

Not a small task.

Dante made the whole thing a smooth experience, accentuating what Patrice was trying to do, and coming in when needed, and this is an underappreciated skill. Very seldom did he actually take the show off on his own tangents, like getting mad at a guest, or telling his own story, and when he did it was like comic relief in a scary movie, like a little rest from the hugeness of Patrice's personality.

Also, let's face it, Patrice was a high drama guy, and he loved all of the arguing back and forth with the women cohosts who changed constantly because after a show or two of the Patrice treatment they never came back.

Dante's mellow and contemplative personality was a welcome relief when it came from all of the high energy and screaming. I remember one anecdote where Patrice said that he was a bear hunter, and Dante was a deer hunter, and the two of them told an anecdote about a loud bitch Patrice got into it with in a diner. Dante got sick of all the drama and went outside for a little peace.

A little later Patrice came out and said, "She wants your number."

It was an effective point and counterpoint between player styles, and I don't think Dante gets the credit he deserves for taking the thankless role of sidekick.

Weimerica Weekly by Ryan Landry of Socialmatter

He tells a great story and weaves together politics, culture, gender trends, pop sex stuff, and basically any topic that you'd find yourself discussing with a RP man. His delivery is relieving as there is a healthy emotional buffer where it is commentary as opposed to judgement or outrage or condemnation. In many ways, he has some empathy and compassion for the characters that make up Weimerica.

His POV helped me go from "I understand what is occurring but my head is spinning and I'm kind of pissed off about it" to "Yes, this is happening but if you break it down far enough, it almost makes sense, and culture comes and goes"
