Im interested in getting a pair of barefoot shoes. Does anyone here own some? How do barefoots perform in the gym (squads, deadlifts, etc.)?
Im particularly interested in the Nike Free 3.0 v3 since they arent too pricey.

I own the Vibram Komodo Sports.
I've been lifting barefoot for years so I'm accustomed to barefoot training.

Bottom Line, I love my vibrams. A bit awkward when casually walking around but Ideal when it comes to running / weightlifting.

There is a definite difference between actual barefoot strength training and training with barefoot shoes. Training in socks or completely barefoot is the Best choice and barefoot shoes are the next best choice.

I've been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can bust mine back out, I love em. I have very flat feet and pronated ankles because of it. Every shoe I Ever wore caused me pain, until I bought a pair of vibrams.

Thus far, I only heard good stuff about the vibrams. Thing is, they are expensive and look kinda strange...Do you wear socks when working out with em?

You cant wear socks with them at all, unless you mean OVER them

I do my kettlebell workouts barefoot, it just feels right. I also own VFF KSO, use them for running and theyre great, I will definitely wear them when I start squatting again.

Be careful about buying online though, the sizes are pretty weird, I recommend you go to a store like REI.

You can wear Injinjii socks. but I wear mine barefoot and I wash my feet beforehand.

I wear mine into the shower once a week during the summer, just clean 'em up with whatever soap I scrub my ass with and air dry them. I'm not sure if you can machine wash them, but I'd be concerned that the heat + agitation might, at the very least, shorten the lifespan

I bought a set of Vibrams last year and no longer wear tennis shoes. They are amazing. I've done a lot of squatting and crossfit in them. It took a little time to adjust to squatting without the support of a cushioned sole. I have better posture while working out, don't worry about ankle sprains, and feel more planted during the workout.

Aight fellas, so the Vibrams seem to be THE shit and hence Im going to try them out.
Since I wanna buy em online, which one do you guys think, is the best model for working out and some light running (5-10km)?

dont buy them online w/o going to a store and making sure you get the fitting correct first. try some different sizes and models and see what works. their too unique of a shoe to buy w/o getting sized properly first.

Things is that I dont know any store where they sell em. Gonna check if there is one in my area. Anyhow, thanks for the tip.

Brian is right. Look for any athletics stores or specialty athletic shoe stores. I dont know where you live but In MD there's a chain called "Fleet Feet" that sells them. They might be only in this area though.

Just picked up a set of these:

   

Picked them up at The Foot Traveler. MSRP is $110 but they were on sale for $72. I still swear by them for better posture.
