Asia in general has a huge gap, i dated a girl 10 years younger than me and nobody ever said anything, I didn't even realize it until after we broke up. 10-20 year gap is not uncommon with locals or expats dating locals.

In China and Vietnam girls will hit the panic button around 26 if they are not married.

Japan and Korea the panic button is hit around 32ish I think.

Once the panic button is hit they will marry a door knob if they have to, so any age is possible.

They call them Christmas Cake. As in, after the 25th the shit is no good.

In Japan the panic button is hardwired at 25, but the reality is slightly different.

I think maybe in some of East Asian or the less developed or non-western countries there is a taboo or stigma for dating younger men, they see you as almost as a child if u're less than 22 or have a young face?

No but here in the Fatherland I've gotten away with 10+ years younger. 8 years is the max I think you'll go without getting some shit from her friends. You'll never hear anything from the family. It's always the friends. My current fascination just turned 18. I'm 30 and she's cool with it, but only after I got my food in the door telling her I'm 26. As long as you're fit and you've got all your hair,it's game on. The states is the only place I've seen where people make a big deal about the shit.

The UK is very similar to the USA.
A general rule of thumb is 3-5 years max difference BUT women have a very fixed wish list of exactly what they want/expect/feel entitled to. The good thing is the mass migration from the EU is upping the looks stakes (ie more competition) and the slightest mention of this to a single UK woman normally hits a very raw nerve

I'm mid forties and still date early twenties (sometimes 19) year olds here in Indonesia. It's getting to be a tougher sale every year, but I'm in sales.

It's not a common age disparity, but westerners are allowed to bend the rules.

It seems that the more feministic and empowered the women are, the more age gap shaming you'll find. As I approach 40, if I decide to have kids, I'll pretty much be forced to find a foreign women as it will become very difficult to get a quality American women in her 20s.

In Indonesia, girls in the early-to-mid twenties (the ones I have the most experience with) seem to have a preference for guys in their mid-to-late thirties, with a 12 year difference about ideal. I'm I'm my late twenties but look early-to-mid twenties, and some girls in that age range here have explicitly told me I'm too young for them.

Expand on his story. What was his background, how did he make his way there, how does he like the life there. As I assume he is UK, why not EE/FSU or LatAm? Downsides? Stories like this are important - most of you will make it to 64. Will you be old, fat, angry guys bitching about life in your home country or "opting out" as this guy did? I just returned from a family gathering in the US Pacific Northwest. A week on a sailboat visiting expensive marinas - filled with prosperous Amerikan couples. The youngest girl I'm dating just now is 17 which is an 8 year age gap, but that has caused some issues for me. I've met her mum and dad who don't seem to care much, her ex boyfriend is a pal of mine and he's given me some stick about going after schoolgirls. She has a friend named conor who is apparently very angry I'm dating her, I've met the guy and wouldn't fancy throwing down with him, I just brush it off saying 'next time I fancy a girl I'll be sure to ask connor if it's ok', which seems to satisfy her.

In Ukraine the guys are not interested in girls over 30, because they tend to have some serious mental issues. Rightly so, I have seen these milfs in action, scary business. The girl will always have a story like her ex-husband drank, or he went to Germany for work; the truth is is that she was a fucking psycho and made his life hell.

I'm not that interested in girls over 23 here, unless they have some experience of living overseas. I like them pretty, cute and giggly.
